What a match for Nao! I am so impressed! Congratulations! (Not to mention that I am glad Jelena lost, look at her attitude when she looses... She is already 23 but way to far from being considered adult).
@Einars Dubrovskis I mean, your personal vulgar response also give us some insights into her attitude problems (= she is probably not the only one who can't stand loss).
Einars Dubrovskis why are you everywhere..they’re just celebrating a win for hibino..you don’t have to kiss ostapenko ass in every comment. she doesn’t even know who you are or cares.
@Einars Dubrovskis First Hibino defeated Sloane Stephens, a former grand slam winner, and now she defeated Ostapenko, another former grand slam winner. You should give her some credit. Stephens may have beaten Ostapenko, we will never know.
Yeah so true.. she is my favourite player but she seems to underestimate her opponents and ends up losing a lot of those times..and she seems to get quite anxious as well at times especially when she's in front in the scoreboard
Ostapenko showed no class in the end, particularly at the net when match was over. I think I have lost respect towards this young lady. A great champion is not just about winning matches but also about the sportsmanship. Well done Hibino. X
ivario ivario It’s not worse. Both are bad. What is wrong with you? You can’t justify someone’s rude behavior by pointing out other people’s bad behavior. Not to mention, a ball boy is a HUMAN BEING, a goal is an inanimate object. I propose you consider your statements before writing them out. Ostapenko has verbally assaulted ball boys on video serval times for “water” and “trash.” Unacceptable. Inconsiderate. Poor example.
@@CodySDivineCreators I was comparing the racket smashing to kicking a ball. Which is a case of poorly-controlled emotions, but not a penalized offense I did not know about the ball boy issue, will look into that.
Hibino played smarter in this match and deserves a great win. Ostapenco always moves b4 opponents toss a ball to serve to distract. She tried to break her racket but this clay court, not hard one.She is kind of rude and deserves to be a loser.
Ostapenko thinks she will get back to the top 5. Must be joking. Serve is a weakness, no middle game. Great when it's working but has no slice or proper plan b.. so unlikeable aswell
Hibino has some sneaky power and plays really smart tennis. She's also plays the big points well and keeps her emotions in check which is not easy lol. Best of luck to her.
Is this WTA channel managed by by racists? You couldn't take away the win from Hibino, so you decided to make her look bad in highlights? No respect whatsover for players who worked equally hard in this sport. Women's Tennis Association doesn't know tennis, if they truly do, they will enjoy good tennis and give respect to all hard working players. She started playing tennis since she was kid just like any other player, she has been running around the court for 20 years, and you simply won't give her some credit because she is asian? Fortunately, her destiny is her own, not in the hand of racists.
this highlights showing more ostapenko's win shots rather than hibino, but i'm happy hibino won the match! she's so pretty and cute please hibino, don't break your rackets for all your match
After seeing hopeful signs in Ostapenko's maturity in the previous match, here we see her self-absorbed old self emerge again as she meets Hibino after the match. Gracious in defeat beyond her, and in her case I think it's an aspect of what holds her back.
What a difference in character, While the frustrated childish Ostapenko is smashing her racquet, the polite Japanese player is bowing to people. Both players need to greatly improve their serves.
Ostapenko led in both sets, but let them get away. She took her foot off the gas and didn't finish. She desperately needs to improve her second serve and her fortitude.
Everyone who watches tennis knows about Hibino's great results this year. If you compare her form to Ostapenko's it was basically clear who's the favorite.
