@@Darwingreen5 Kind of gave me a Mega Man X4 vibe with that "laser that's harmless but don't touch where it touches the ground", all that's missing is a voice proclaiming "THE END!" when doing this.
Some classic "child" cuttie games have creepy and bizarre bosses, just like Alien Queen of Ecco the Dolphin, Ograoum Papas and Little Clown of Mr. Nutz, the evil clown of Super Bomberman 1, Skull Head, Ashura´s Head and the final form of the Demon King of Magical Pop´n and some bosses on Kirby games, these are just a few to give an example. That's why 80's and 90's games was and still amazing, because many of them were cute and bizarre at the same time, the designers were more creative and resourceful in old days.
@@GordoFreakmanFail-Life heavily censored, but not designed by committee and so they could get really wild and unpredictable and be not-so-subtle outlets for the creators.
What a shame this went unreleased when it was practically complete and looks to have a nice quantity of content! Sony was working to launch the first Playstation back then and so they cut down on other projects outside of it. Good choice for the thumbnail, for such a cutesy game the final boss is really creepy.
I feel like playing more lesser-known games from the SNES era. So much great pixelart to look at, and some of these games end up being really good despite never hearing about them.
Wow. I had no idea this was even a thing. The original wasn’t exactly amazing but it was still a charming little game with some fun details hidden throughout.
The jester in the end for such a cute style game is pretty nightmarish to say the least. He is dead behind a secret wall as a skeleton, and after that reforms to his older self for one final confrontation with you.Japanese creators can easy work wonders when it comes to games like those that seems suitable for younger audiences by putting something that even an adult can be creeped out!
Played this game on emulation years ago because it had slime characters in it. Never got far enough to see a Dark Slime boss so that was pretty neat to see.
@@ferjuarez356 The game was published by Sony, and due to release in 1994, so it's far more likely that this game was scrapped due to the Playstation and Sony's falling out with Nintendo
@@ferjuarez356 Nope, the game was almost out when the whole fallout between Nintendo and Sony happened. Even if Game Freak made the game (at least one of the bosses reminds me of Unowns), it's Sony who "commissioned" the game, and they pulled the plug in anger (and then Sony decided they'd make their own console, JUST to get back at Nintendo)
@@FollowMe4REP Nope. There is other SNES game from Japan, which is Action RPG. The name is Bushi Seiryuuden: Futari no Yuusha. You can find it on Romhacking site. I play it for a bit and I really like it cuz the graphic they made is so badass.
