Love jelly too I’ve watched videos about him visiting and performing for men in prison and it gave me goosebumps watching his performance touch the lives of these men in their situations and how jelly touched them tyj for jelly opening his heart mind and music to these men 🙏🏼🙏🏼
There's an old joke that Jerry Clower used to tell about Loretta Lynn. He said, "I'm from the Country, but Loretta is Country." Lainey grew up not too far from where my family lived and there is no doubt that she is "Country" She seems to have an amazing future and there is no doubt where her heart and roots (pronounced ruts in that part of the country) are.
Lainey deserves every award she has worked her @$$ off for what she gets and how far she has gotten in the music industry ...go miss lainey. We love you girly ❤❤❤❤
Jelly Roll reminder me of a Very Young Johnny Cash. Picking himself off the deck and proving to everyone you might dones some bad things earlier in life and making lemonade out of lemons. Lainey just keeps working her butt off.
Well this was very nice of you guys to do for Lainey🎉 I can attest to how much work it takes, many years ago when a young artist. I would be doing job interviews in the morning, jamming with one of Dwight Yoakams band members by afternoon and then jammin with one a member of Alice Coopers band later at nite. Now at 46 and years back in the everyday life I wish I woulda put even MORE work in. Just like Jelly and Lainey do now! God Bless them and anyone following the music dream🙏🏻💯.
Lainey Wilson is the best thing to happen to country music in a while. In my opinion they should be grateful they have her. If folks are listening to her, they’re listening to a country station which means they’re listening to everyone on it.
Love you Lainey ❤ your hard work, detmation, great music are paying off. Proud of you. Deserve all good things and blessings in your life. Your amazing! Keep up the great work.
Jelly roll appears to be a kind and humble man. Not a fan of his music especially as "country" but he is certainly a main character in the modern country world today.
I have stood by and listened to all the crap about Lainey not deserving to win her awards long enough. Now it’s my turn to tell you why she deserved and still deserves to win. Long before many of you were born, and Nashville was changing, and long before Miss Dolly came on the scene, we had three groundbreaking women in country music, who kicked butt and took names. Their names were Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. Their work ethic was impeccable, they stood up for women, wrote their own songs, and could care less what anyone thought about it. Loretta was proud of her Southern accent, and wrote songs no woman had ever heard anyone sing about before. Every time someone asked for her to wear shorter dresses, she would go longer. She was a true trailblazer, the likes of which Nashville, much less country music had never seen before. Kitty Wells ‘It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels’. What a song! Everyone loved it, especially the women. Patsy Cline had a voice like an angel, and thanks to Willie Nelson’s writing of ’Crazy’, it still consistently remains in the top 3 of all jukebox songs in history. Enter Lainey Wilson. I watched Lainey on the CMA’s last year, and couldn’t believe her voice! Where had she been that I had never heard of her?! Could it be true? Could someone have been sent by the good Lord, like the three timeless greats I mentioned above? It was true, and I was bound and determined to meet her and find out more about her. I was fortunate enough to get a ticket to the Bluebird Cafe, which was sold out. Luckily, my concert buddy told me when some special tickets went on sale. I was in. What would I hear? That same incredible voice I heard on television, or would it be worse or even better. She blew my mind when I heard her sing, and I knew she loved her fans, as I watched her take the time to speak to every single one, including me. I started going to her concerts. Of all the concerts my husband and I have been to, we have never, ever seen anyone work as hard and not even stop, during the entire show. Once she meets you, she never forgets you. She helps any country entertainer that needs help, she sang a cappella when lightning took out their equipment in North Carolina, she has sung in the pouring rain, had her own huge concerts, flipped back and forth, opening for others, went on the Opry, and has hardly slept in her own bed. She reminds me so much of Loretta Lynn. She is a groundbreaker, people adore her, and she helps others. She is unapologetically Southern. That’s what southern women do! We use the gifts God gave us, stay true to ourselves, help others when needed, make someone’s day, and work as hard as we possibly can. I don’t know anyone like her, but I do wish she had met the three women who paved a way for her to be here. For all you naysayers, you need to get to know your Country Music. I was born and raised in Nashville. Our Lainey was sent to us for a time such as this, and I will be able to say on my deathbed that Lainey has resurrected the Country Music I was raised on throughout the years. Did she deserve to win? Is this really her time? I have two words for you. Hell Yeah! If you think not, you are delusional and jealous, and it sure doesn’t look mannerly. Congratulations! Love you, Lainey! No one deserves these awards more than you!
I'll never understand how people who claim they love country music can support so called "artist" that keep trying to turn country into hip hop but won't support Lainey. HUH!?
I'm loving Lainey. Lainey is a breath of fresh air for us country music fans.❤ I stepped away from current country music for years because of artists like Marin Morris and when Luke Bryan decided to appease the alphabet mafia with the cringe worthy pedo acceptance "Love who you love, nothing to be ashamed of" trash music.
Lainey,, got this Ol heavy rocking metal head 🗣️ liking Country music 🎵🎶... AIN'T IT JUST AIN'T IT 😜💜👍 I've been there done that and can relate to I got a heart 💜❤️ like a truck which I had to sell recently... Wasn't much but I built it from parts like Johnny Cash...and I actually put the exhaust on that Cadillac when it was being built....
@@melvinlee5684 😂😂😂 Like he's the only artist who ever didn't win an award. How can you be ignored if you're nominated?? He's won awards. How bout stop being problematic & start making more actual country music instead of hip hoppy country with rappers and walking around the stage like a wannabe gangsta rapper with your hat turned backwards..that might help endear you to the academy
@@melvinlee5684 You just proven my point. First comment is a Morgan Wallen fan who thinks the only nominee that matter is Morgan Wallen and no one else should win. Wallen fans remind me of Swifties who think she has to win everything or it's flawed or rigged or their entire life is ruined. Think about the fan voted awards where artists are constantly not winning cause of fan armies mass voting to compete against each other not based on actual music and content but to bragging rights on Twitter. I loved when majority of awards shows were not fan voted and actually based on the content of the music. How can someone with 2 million followers ever win over someone with 30 million followers on fan voted awards shows? It's unfair and ridiculous. That's why I'm ok with the Grammys, BET awards, ACM awards. A person who sold 100000 albums has a fair shot against someone who sold 10 million. Shouldn't be based on stats only and popularity only
If you’re a future superstar, and you have other future superstars rolling up to your camper to write songs, you’re all on somebody’s radar. Otherwise the chances of that are like three friends winning the Powerball on three separate occasions. How many musicians are there in Nashville at any given time trying to be somebody?
Not a Lainey fan at all, but Jelly yes he doesnt need to duo with anyone. My opinion only thats whats cool about freedom of speech use it while we still can. Also done with awards shows stop putting others on pedestals most all of the entertaininers are the best to their fans. They put them where they are on the charts.
No one would know Jelly Roll unless if it wasn’t for Upchurch, everybody had already heard all of his underground songs that now most of the population is now listening to so for me, hearing his stupid ass songs about save me in Jesus, while he’s got an IV in his arm from his hangover the night before and he forgets to take it out while he takes it out on a podcast are you fucking serious, nobody would know you jelly and struggle you say you’re Jennings but that’s not your real last name he is not your grandfather you guys are not related your mother was a back up singer. He felt bad and tried to help her out. He tried to help and struggle out as well, and then he gave up after struggle, one to pull out the biggest cocaine distribution in Tennessee history.
He Is! His wife has posted videos of him walking around their property, exercising… I’m sure you have things in your life you Should be doing and no one is bitching at you online about it… as a daughter of someone overweight… fat people Know they’re fat! They don’t need you telling them! 🙄
She's a good artist....BUT DOESN'T EVEN MEASURE UP TO JELLYS STRUGGLES @ ALL....& anyone that's been by JELLYS side knows....not the BAND WAGNER"S THAT HOPD ON after he made it BIG so to speak...cause he's been BIG since the start...~RIDING ALL ALONE~ If you know, you know....
Country is no longer country, its some amalgamation of pop, rap and heavy metal these days, its as though it has lost its soul and turned its back on God like the prodigal son... But we die hard true country fans and waiting for country to come back into the flock and get rid of all these tattooed freaks and half a$$ singers... When it does, you can believe there will be a party so loud the mir spacestation could hear it ..
just another super-duper female, that lost a lot of weight and found a pro makeup artist. Not really anything new just the same old stuff, and who is that roll of jelly convect anyone to judge anything? Country music died along time ago and it will never be back. thank goodness there are still some good radio stations & you tube that play the good old stuff.
I like Lainey but she doesn't deserve AOY. Morgan or Luke deserve that award. And who gives a shot what smelly roll thinks. He will say or do anything to make people feel sorry for him. I think he should still be in jail.
To you maybe that's the case. I think his singing is kind of rough as well, but he can sing. Just like every one of us. He isn't perfect, and he knows that. But he feels it so he sings it regardless. I think that's why people like him. He's real and not faking anything. He's low down white trash but he embraces it and a TON of people can relate to his everyday struggles He's lived.
@@GenXDAVE Not a hater, just prefer the old Jelly, not this new crap. And in no way can she top Dolly Parton, pure Class. She's simply the new thing. Talk to me in about a year, Lainey who?
