Jelly, I was getting drunk over those important quickly technologically advancing last few years when one reality suddenly evolved into some new shit and all of these things unbeknownst to me suddenly became relevant and important to life today, I mean, if you want to understand at all what's going on around me. I'm still trying to understand what all this new influencer shit is about--okay OK I'm just kidding, partially, but seriously, does telegram mean just, and I don't mean just as in just just, but does it just mean that I am messaging you? ls that what telegramming you is? Lord, I am so thankful to be sober today, and I pray that it lasts forever and ever and ever.. Out there trying to tweet on Twitter to get up in that conversation about Elon and that's just a lost cause..didn’t know how the hell to use hashtags in 2013 and I still don't understand how to use them now... Jelly? Where am I? I most certainly can't be in some sort of sub chat room on a RU-vid channel chatting directly with you because that miracle would never happen...?!?🫣 I shouldn't say that, miracles happen all the time, but--Jelly???! My wife sent me this song today. She hurting over a broken relationship with our son. He's 19, military, and got involved with a young lady who is pulling him away instead of lifting him up. My wife has taken it hard. I feel it, my heart is broke too, but sometimes it's different for moms. He is the youngest. The last to leave. I struggle watching her struggle and don't know to help. I try to be strong enough for us both but she has some bad days. Sending me thus song makes me worry for her. I hope God shows her the path that eases her pain. I believe our son will return one day. He has to live his life and learn his lessons. GOD WILL salvage this. But the waiting is hard.

Jelly roll is probably one of the most inspiring men on the planet to me so when i heard this song i lost my shit..im coming up on 3 years clean and ive almost not been here many times between my addiction and my mental health issues...im now in school for drug and alcohol counseling and raising my youngest daughter and rebuilding with my oldest after almost 7 years of no contact...we do recover...please dont give up🥺🤟

No song has ever made me cry like this song. I remember how vulnerable and absolutely pitiful I was in active addiction and lost more good people than I could even count. People that struggle with addiction are some of the best humans I've ever met in my life. Listening to this song takes me back to those days when I was struggling along with all the women i had bonded with over the years. Most lost their battle but there a few of us left keeping their memories alive and staying sober for them❤ if you're struggling reach out, the devil is a liar! Reminds me of my MOM! She battled addiction my whole life. And the addiction followed me. I'm trying so hard to not allow the same for my kids. Totally agree. 5 1/2 years roughly for myself. Actually and ironically his song "Addiction Kills" came out the day I decided to turn my life around. Stopped cold turkey. Withdrawals suck, dope sickness sucks however every bit of the suffering I went through to get clean was beyond worth it because no high has given me the same feeling as being clean has. Minus weed of course lmao.

@@itsgenocyde Congratulations for fighting so hard to get your lifes back. It most definitely is one of the hardest and longest fights to go through but it's 100 % worth it. Keep fighting the good fight. I was an addict from 16 till about 36, I'm 43 at the end of December and it was one of the hardest things I've had to do, that feeling of having itching powder running through your vains and the climbing the walls restlessness, feeling drained but the peacefulness and want of sleep to envelope you never comes. convulsions, then coming back and having to work on your mental health such as panic attacks and insomnia which will probably last a long time but everything good in your life and your life is definitely worth fighting for. This hit me so hard because I lost my brother, my cousin and my passed away in November but at least she was clean for the last over year and a half from everything and she had just finished her hep c treatment a few days before she collapsed and it was from COPD and cardio pulmonary but she can rest in peace knowing that she got straightened up!! She moved in with me after my brother passed and once I got her to my house she was clean from then on until that happened to her 😢

i feel you kristen..im turnin 40 in a week and have been thru too many funerals as well 😞. this tune hit hard thinking about those loved ones. A high school knee injury caused me to become an addict to pain meds.that addiction lasted for 18 years. one day i woke up, smoked a bowl of weed, looked at the script of hydros, i had picked up the night before and took the bottle and poured it in the toilet and flushed it... yeah i wasted 230.00 for the script.. but have been sober from pills since which is going on 8 years...so glad i woke up to this beautiful life in front of my eyes but i miss everyone thats one from addiction..

This song hits hard to me, I just discovered this a couple days ago and I’m stuck on it. I lost my wife November 28th 2022 due to an accidental overdose. All the words to this just hit home. I’ve been dealing with my own demons since she’s passed but I’m not going to talk anymore of that. Just want anyone who maybe dealing with addiction to know no matter how low you get, there’s always someone watching you. Don’t be another victim to it, because even though you may feel like nothing trust me you mean something to someone. Wish everyone the best

You can get through it Mike. Addiction has been a part of my life...forever..whether from my addict mother or from myself. I have had a crack addition, meth addiction, and an opiod addiction. I went to the methadone clinic to help me get off the opiods (the other 2 addictions I was able to quit by myself) but I realized I was just trading 1 addiction for another. I started out taking 120mg of methadone each day and weaned myself down to 3mg a day. 4 weeks ago I quit completely. It is a battle I will fight forever but it's a battle worth fighting!!

This song reminds me of my mom and my grandma my grandma raised me the best she could with what she had and God rest her soul I appreciate what she did for me But the older I got the more I saw pills, depression nervous breakdown when I was in middle school my mom wasn’t any better she herself was sturggling with addiction still does til this day I just wish someone could speak to my mother it hurts so bad as her child to still see after all these years yeah I’m 36 but this pain never goes away I was also born with cerebral palsy because of my moms drug use and I was a pound n half at birth but I’m walking I’m talking and nobody is stoping me fuck drugs and addiction

I remember seeing my mom struggle and take handfuls of pills in 1979. She is gone now, but I wish I could have saved her from her pain and sadness. So many people are survivors of childhood trauma. I was doing drugs for 15 yrs., and today I'm 4 years clean. Every day is a struggle, but you have to fight though it. I woke up 1 day and said this is enough and went cold turkey. Withdrawal is worse than having a baby, but you'll get through it if you want it really bad enough. There's always hope. Never give up.

Thank you Jellyroll for giving people like me and my cousin a voice ❤️ I struggle with addiction everyday. Since 2006. I had a seizure and my shoulder and arm were shattered. 13 surgeries so far. Also my cousin Whitney died from as overdose 2 weeks ago today. RIP Whitney! ❤️❤️❤️ I don't know how my story will end. I'm scared. I've been to rehab twice this year. ❤️

I can't stop crying. Every single time. This was me. I'm not sure I've ever related to a song more than this in my over 40yrs of living. I'm so glad I made that call ❤. And to those still struggling, please, please, I promise you it's worth it. It's fucking hard, but it's so worth it. My life is now is only something I used to dream about. You can make it. When you get that feeling for change, start working on it. If you fall, get back up and try again. It's hand down the hardest thing you'll ever overcome but also the most rewarding. And to the angels who lost the battle...we see you still, we know that wasn't the real you. Rest easy, without struggle and pain. Much love to the addiction and recovery community ❤❤

I watched too many friends die from addiction. One friend had been trying to hard to come down and just couldn't reach that stage. He died of overdose phenobarbitol and flexeril after coke binge.

@JellyRollmusicworldhi, jelly roll, this song hits home. Frist one I heard that hit me I'm on the other side, sober working , taking collage exams. 3 years and counting after 20 years. They do wonder where I'm now. New town ,New people, New journeys. After 4 times finally clean. This song 🎵 man. Made me see, keep fighting keep going and help everyone along the way! As far as collage. We'll chemistry. Want to be the one that comes up with a drug that bets the 67 % percent rate the frist time. Give people more years back then I chose. It's not easy every time you fall, takes more of you to get back up. I want to change this. Along with all the laws the stop company's from coming to market with new stuff that actually helps not hurt. Thanks for all you do! I heard thus and realized just how far I've gotten. How much more needs to be done. Thanks!!

If this isn’t a message from God, then I don’t know what it is. I know the pain you feel. The hopelessness, helplessness,anger, sorrow, regret, it's not something there are words that adequately convey what you feel losing a child. The senseless way we lost them is even harder to bare. It's only been 7mos yet I feel ive cried and been full of sorrow for almost a lifetime. I am truly sorry for your loss. Truly. This used to be me but now I am 20 years and counting clean and sober. By the grace of God and my family I survived and doing pretty good. So those who are struggling with addiction I have been there. If I could do it so can you. Reach out get help you can do this but you have to want it and want it bad. Go for it! You can do it.

He's dealt with addiction and the mother of his daughter is an addict and doesn't partake in their daughters life. Opiate life is dull, numb and an internal weakness to be the boss of you. Be the BOSS of you. Get away from the pretenders of life. Turn the page of your book, write a new chapter. Be great. Nothing important in life comes easy and it's easy to just stay on the flat path. It's hard to make the turn and climb the hill, at the top is a beautiful view. I hope these words find you well.

I am a recovering opiate addict(5yrs clean) I started out with my prescription painkillers (pills) following the directions. One thing led to another then the needle happened. I was addicted long before I ever picked up the needle. Please please please get help before that happens. The needle is a whole different ballgame and it becomes an addiction in and of itself. If I can do it anyone can you just have to want it more than anything. I was the chick who couldn’t make it 2hrs without being in full tilt withdrawal and now I’m 5 yrs clean helping other addicts get into recovery and supporting them thru the recovery process. YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN DO THIS!!
