WOW THAT WAS IN 1980 AND I AM STILL KICKING AT 55 YEARS OLD. JELLYbean would mix Never gonna let you go by Jocelyn Brown that I never ever forget brought me to tears as I was dancing with friends. HE TORE UP AND WE WOULD LEAVE AND HAVE BREAKFAST OVA OVA TIMES
@@charlieshine6157 RIP Reggie Lucas, another legendary musician and producer - with James Mtume, he crafted classics in collaboration with Stephanie Mills & Phyllis Hyman.
Is old school that surprised me to don't see him with a SL1500 MK II or 1200MKII instead of those Pioneers....Well I remember him with the old real.style. Marketing I guess. I will like to see him with the real thing.Turntables.
This guy was Madonna’s first remixers. He was a pioneer. Remember “Sidewalk Talk” Madonna was the female voice on that club classic. John was what Calvin Harris is today.
JELLYBEAN ROCKS THE HOUSE ONCE AGAIN... I REMEMBER I WAS HANGING IN THE FUN HOUSE EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN I WAS A KID. I STILL CHECK IN EVERY EVENT AND BOAT RIDE, TO HEAR JELLYBEAN ROCK THE HOUSE. HE STILL ROCKING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF ALL TIME DJ'S
I was DUsTeD to the mustard in the balcony in FuNHoUsE and fell down spiral stairs but loved it. Bean was pounding pulsating tracks vibrating through our body such as Cavern, War Dance, I Feel Love., etc. Yo-- remember hearing Risky Changes in the HOuSE or better yet Bellhead on Purple mescaline. LOL. !!!!!! W26th and 10th-- Take me back!!!!!!👍👍👍

@@diskohaze6155 the Whistle Song not only raises the Body Electric arm hair tingling...but always, somewhere mid way through tears of Joy fall...Frankie will always remain in a special place in the hearts of Chicago’s house lovers...patrons of his Warehouse, then Power Plant where w/ Jamie Principle collaborated on Your Love ...Saunders then produced On and On ...and the birth of House exploded all over Chicago and beyond .. a Dj from Detroit brought the drum machine to Frankie and Ron Hardy at the Music Box took the original disco Euro synth sound to a harder driving constant drum beat overlays with cult classics ...and the true Chicago House sound was born ...had the fortunate timing to always be working of different consulting engagements at times Frankie was there . ..his stint at Heaven London .. taking over the tables in NYC SoundFactory after Junior went on sabbatical (he needed the rest) ... it only took awhile b4 word got out ...soon security installed a metal detector as gang rivals came to Dance off their hostilities ...Voguing in its purest raw form ...my dearest friend, of Italian origin, Franco a fashion branding ad man and I ...our entire Entourage would stop dancing..,take a seat w/high perch ..to marvel in Awe at not only the amazing dance moves...but, that the Music could bestow Peace ... From that moment on...our refrain “God does indeed live on the Dance Floor...and a man named Frankie Knuckles is his prophet ...uses his knuckles to twist and turn those vinyl discs to Heal & Love never to hate or fight. Franco’s friendship w both Frankie and Madonna would of course lead to her Witness of the Ball Inspired gang dance-offs and would become mainstream w/ her release of Vogue then special appearances once again in London at Substation..where he and Chicago native Derrick Carter (deep house) worked the crowd into such a frenzy, sweat was dripping from the ceiling in the relatively small basement club ... It was winter...the crowd refused to leave and brace that cold ..,needless to say...they played until late into the afternoon next day ... Jelly another Legend so fitting starts with Whistle Song and ends on Stand On The Word ... Both Jelly and Frankie Believers and that God can move in mysterious ways ... Cheers Jelly !!! 🎉🎊🎉 One hell of a godly inspired Set
It Was An Honor Finally Meeting You, Jellybean Benitez, A Few Years Ago, Especially After Listening You Mix At A Few Clubs In New Jersey And New York City 1970s - 1980s.
It's 2023 and I am still rocking to this S... It will definitely always be apart of my life. One of the best. I am so blessed to have grown up in the times when this was live and happening 🤣
This is about “last night a DJ saved my life” this is the music that kept me going through some of my best and worst of times....So Greatful for him and the other greats like him! 🐋
JB you are why i love music and became a DJ in the early 80's . Growing up in Newark N.J. and listening to all the other icons like Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Masters at Work, and The latin Rascals. And many more and the list goes on and on . but to know they're all recognized in the east coast and involved in my life growing up and in my music collection , its a blessing. Thanks to all those iconic DJ's and thank you JB.👍
This Pandemic has me feeling like I'm about to lose my mind. Being able to listen/enjoy great music puts me in a We Can Fight This kind of mind. God Bless!
Oh shit! Haven't even got to that song yet as only about 6 songs in. The Mexican is one of my favourite tracks ever. In fact I only just Tweeted about it less than a few days ago and tagged lead singer Jenny Haan in it. Superb track.
Chris hi from greece Damn right brother Who cares 56 years music is the answer for all problems Stay safe stay home and rock da house bro this f*** virous is real badass
Chris: Spot on mate. I'm 53 used to DJ a bit around London and still have all my 'old' vinyl. Jellybean and the likes of Tony Humphries were my medicine then and still are. Stay safe x

All of you DJ out there changed my life. With your joyful music I learned to cope with life's problems. This coping helped me to get into the arts as well. Thank you so much for being a role model to us when we were young.
Thank you so much for taking me back to a moment in time when we danced until my body was numb and I realized that i was Born To House. In this Pandemic Times thank you for lifting my soul . I've Been House'd!!!!!!!!
House music for real..Jelly Bean Benitez...remixing beautifully the way he did when there was no tech.to help him mix like these fonies out here now..they need to listen to this man here..fun house..was the place he playrd..but i have to this it all started at the loft..with David Mancuso..RIP.....EVERYBODY ENJOY...
CLASSIC SET!! I'm so glad that none of those 90's House kids (who think that everything is House Music) and irritating Chicago kids are on here saying "Yes, this is the House Music I remember..." BEAT IT BECAUSE THIS AIN'T HOUSE - IT'S CLASSIC EAST COAST UNDERGROUND & ORIGINAL EDM - BUT PLAYED IN TRUE UNDERGROUND CLUBS EVERYWHERE!!!
I hope one day we all can be together in large groups allowing the music to take us all to anothe world. So blessed to have been a part of the house community.
