Great "retro" song, and also some very nice bits of aniimation here, especially for Jem's moves. Plus, this was written bi Jacqui Benton, and the "legacy" feel mixed with Jerrica's personal love story is epic (especially because Jacqui never managed to witness it).
I thought of a Jem revival a lot! the only element I feel like they couldn't get right is the Misfits. They are actually very nuanced for a 80s cartoon group of villains, to the point where they are more like the alternate main characters. You actually could root for them and not because they are "Lovable losers" they actually were on par with Jem with songs that were just as good or better. Could you imagine a character like Stormer, Pizzazz, or Roxy today?
The blushing part by the lockers reminds me of saying goodbye to a coworker today. He was working with a vacuum or something with a very long wire and he lifted it to let me through with my wheelchair, but he kind of lifted it over me to give me a hug and kiss before I passed through. :)
@@haydennault5342 - I've checked on Tubi and it's NOT THERE. Actually, AFAIK, the JaTH cartoon is not (as of 10/2020) on any free or paid streaming / VOD services in US (the "only in name" movie has been available on Netflix US for a while).
I believe Jem & the others should've hold off this performance after finding the master tapes. That way they could've prevented Eric Raymond from fidning them & holding them for ransom.
A Jem reboot is unlikely. Part of it is due to the music industry is pretty much dead these days. The Internet, pirating music, downloads etc. killed it. This affects a Jem reboot because that's what the show was based around. The REAL music industry. Also MTV no longer plays music videos as they did in the 80s. Also consider the fact that the market for Jem is so small that it does not make financial sense to Hasbro to reboot the show like their other dynasty shows got.
