Yaaay! It’s gonna be here so fast! 🥳 So happy for you and hope to hear about your progress updates! Let me know if you have any questions, I’m an open book!😉
@@vsgathlete I’m Now 6 weeks post op and only down 20 lbs so I feel like I can probably eat more because I don’t think they sleeved me small enough. It’s frustrating.
I appreciate you for sharing this. And I can't thank you enough for coming and having the the Feast Fridays while you're recovering Jen! 30 pounds is awesome and love how you are celebrating the wins like the briefs! Keep getting at it!
This a great video, much needed tonight. I’m struggling 5 days post op and really just needed this reassurance that I’m doing this well enough. Congrats on your success and I’ll be rooting for you along the way! Your attitude is inspiring and I look forward to other videos if you decide to post!
Yaaay!!! That’s so awesome! I’m super happy for you! Thank you for watching. Always feel free to ask me anything. I’m an open book. You can DM my Instagram if it’s easier.☺️👍🏼
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your journey! I am having surgery on 06/07/2023 and I really appreciate your approach to sharing and the interviews your husband conducted. 💗
Thank youuuuu for taking the time to reach out. Ahhhh Congratulations on your surgery date!🥳 That is awesome to hear! Yes, my husband is great with my videos. I’m super thankful that he’s so willing to help!☺️
Woooo hooo!!!!🥳I’m so happy for youuuuu!!!🤗 Thank you for watching an commenting. Everything is really amazing now. I am stronger than I’ve ever been in my entire life. My activity goals are being conquered, confidence is on its way up, and I am just so dang grateful (everyday) to have been given a second chance at the life I know I should be living. Following the plan is so important. I can’t stress that enough. Kaiser did a great job when communicating the importance of the plan and also scaring me with what could happen if I don’t follow it.🤭😳 In any case, it’s worth listening to the Specialists.🥰Looking forward to hearing your updates and feel free to ask anything! I’m here to help!🤗
Hi Jen, I very much enjoyed watching your video. I'm waiting for a date for my gastric sleeve surgery, but the one thing that worries me a LOT is if I'm going to continue to feel the intense hunger I do now.. Can I ask please how your appetite has been affected and whether the food you now eat satiates you? Thank you from the UK 😊
Hello Emmy!🤗 Thank you for watching and reaching out. I used to feel incredibly hungry before surgery as well. Post-VSG is a different feeling. I felt a little bit hungry but after I ate (the tiniest amount), I was Done. Like my brain wasn’t even interested in bringing my fork to my mouth. It’s definitely something to get used to. As for the food nowadays, yes it feeds/fuels me to the best of its ability. The protein and fiber rich foods keep me feeling full for a long time and with the amount of water I need to drink every day, I have very little wiggle room to indulge in foods that don’t benefit my body anymore. During the holiday season I did snack on more sweets than needed and I absolutely felt the difference. Sluggish, always hungry, and NOT my best. I had to rein it in because it felt like I was headed down my pre-surgery eating path annnnd I gained some weight during that time. Once I got back on track, I felt amazing again! I eat VERY LITTLE starchy carbs so that is a huge benefit. Thank you for asking such a great question! Sending 💫Good Vibes💫 for a quick surgery date! *sidenote* I would Love to visit the UK one day.😍You all are so nice!💙
Great questions! So I didn’t really experience hair loss because I’ve shaved my head since 2020. It was still growing in thick after the surgery and even more so now. Hmmm….worst physical thing for me right after surgery was nausea. I’m not a fan. lol. But that was incredibly short lived. As for Hydration…I’m constantly drinking water, decaf tea, and Electrolytes. I just ran 16 miles on Saturday then 12.5 on Monday and all is still comin out clear.👍🏼 Happy New Year!🎊

@@shanahaim5935 hiii!!!👋I’m pretty active with running which helps so much. And learning the different feelings of “full”. If you ignore them, then things get sketchy. Lol ~Jen💙
@@joanncoopertroupe3506 I agree that it’s a Lifelong Journey. I literally feel like this is my second chance and I canNot mess it up. Life is so much better now. Congratulations on Your Awesomeness! ~Jen💙
I laughed a little too hard when you talked about realizing the "chalky strawberry" vitamins weren't as good as you thought they were. Congrats on your surgery.
@@vsgathlete thank you any regrets on having the surgery? I’m worried that I won’t stop losing weight like how does the body know to stop losing after you have surgery 😮
No regrets. I wish I would have spoke up and done it sooner. But, everything happens in its own time. Our bodies get used to the amount we eat. If we remain consistent, all should be ok. If we overeat, the weight will come back. If we don’t eat enough, we’ll get sickly.
I had heavy cycles for years. . . . .long before VSG. It was so uncomfortable and kept me from doing a lot of things. Since I already had my two babies, I chose to have an Endometrial Ablation about nine years ago. It was a great decision for me and my cycles have been "normal/light" ever since. I hope yours have mellowed out over time. ~Jen💙
