I adore and love Jennifer Lewis; always have. She is extremely well-spoken, talented, political, smart and funny. I will watch or listen to anything she puts forth. I love strong women like her.
I have always loved Ms. Lewis and Loretta Devine!!!! Those are my absolute FAVORITES!!!! I was recently a victim of Narcissistic Abuse. Had no knowledge of NPD - Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is a form of mental illness. We’ve got to educate ourselves. So true, while we are/were victims, we have to acknowledge and heal or own wounds that allowed us to accept the bullshit!
I feel bad for that interviewer lol. The force of her presence and being was so overwhelming! I just don't think he could keep up, or match that force. She's such a grand personality. Enjoyed every moment of it, but not sure I could handle it lol. I might have been completely drained by the end. She knows who she is, and she just exudes confidence and greatness.
He's a millennial, so maybe that explains his actions. I agree, as a Gen Xer, he didn't grow up watching her the way I did. He can only relate but SO far!

JustRay true but we would have gotten a restrained filtered interview controlled by the network. This however was bold honest and most importantly REAL!!!!!!!
i see what you're saying, but I love that she's being interviewed by a young black man from a different generation. it sets a tone in the interview that i don't think it would have if she was talking to oprah. she's a force, but the interviewer held his own and asked good questions. the dynamic really allowed her to shine. loved it.
