We do too. We went back after the flood last year and yes there was a whole lot of damage there, but the town still remained the same. The water there was seven to twenty feet deep in places. We are thankful that no one was killed in our little small town. A lot of people including my parents lost everything but they are alive and well and that is what matters the most.
8/2/20 Thanks, enjoyed this short film....can you do more ....would love to see the other side of Lakeside where all the nice homes are....also can you film the new houses built on the hill in by the road where Dr. Perry lived ....film all the homes all the way down to East Jenkins and do Camden too.....appreciate it.....Thanks.../
We are working on new videos about the area and also some from the Tennessee side of our name. We are hoping to get East Jenkins, Burdine, and other areas in soon as they are on our list as well.
I thought long and hard about it Gary... but in the end I decided to do some of the thing that doesn't get done for the time frame... but your right it is for another project maybe if I do one about the Jenkins Schools... I do have photos from when they are laying the foundation all the way to the present day... Hmmm Good Idea for a new project Thanks Gary!
I broke into the Bakery, in my earlier life as a child burglar, with Donald Belcher. I broke into several other places with him, garages, and into a car shop with my sister. We did not steal, however.
Sad that most of the original buildings are gone. Was the hospital building renovated or is that a new building in the picture ? I have seen so many old pictures of the hospital, I was hoping it was still there. Thanks for posting this video.
