Crazy that more than half the world is Asian and they get so little representation. China alone has more people than all of Europe, US, Canada and Australia combined. Excited for her to be the first Asian to be the main lead on this show.
It is nice and I am happy to see an Asian bachelorette. But it makes me wonder with such huge Hispanic population in USA...🙄 I don't remember having one bachelorette representative of the Hispanic community. 😉
I am so glad your mom gave up medical school to give you and your family a childhood and you were thankfulthat she did so. I know a ton of women doctors and nurses that regret they didn't and many i know have left despite being really hard workers and at the top of their class knowing they and their colleagues were devalued for being in medicine for taking care of others families in really hard and stressful situations. Most of them are and were unhappy and left medicine when their personal life was adversely affected. (Not that they were tortured by the state or anything because that would have exponential consequences on the population -as in the Physicians for human rights article in syria, where the only doctors and nurses left are the ones that hide torture of civilians of course, because all the good ones left)...Anyway, i hope you dont let your career which is heavy get in the way of the beautiful life you could have like all those women who love what they do and like Joey mentioned in his final rose ceremony. .Also, dont be a token for others to get away with assigning the burden to you as they promote those who enjoy their lives.. One of my local news anchors said she liked "cooking. baking, exercising, and spending time with family" as her bio. You should too!..Do what you love and remember, --lets combat hate towards Asian americans etc. as bachelor fantake mentions!!!
Also, how they responded Rachel's situation was not how i would.. It is one way to confirm my feelings about the women in this profession and many others...Thankful that she had the grace to take care of others mens mothers and sad they responded that way and know she will find love in a right side up world along with all the other bright beautiful innocent bachelor young ladies...
I wish they could've picked Lexi as the next bachelorette. She's more than ready to meet a husband and build a family of her own. She also knows what she wants and definitely a mature girl. She's just a class act. I'm sad it's not her. But I hope Jenn's season of the bachelorette will be as good as Joey's season. I hope she finds her person. Andddd I hope her season can have a happy ending.
fun facts: there was 2 black women as bachelorette so far in the whole series, both "picked" white guys and both also divorced LOL what a "reality" show 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
The first Asian bachelorette, that's nice. It's about time they cast an Asian as the lead, I heard she's Vietnamese, and I know she'll go through the same thing the other girls did when they were the bachelorette. I know some of you wanted Maria or daisy but they said no and I never cared on who they pick as the bachelorette and I don't care who they pick as the bachlor as well I just want them to see them become couples with whoever they choose
I'm SO HAPPY!!! I really loved Jenn; I literally called dibs on her being Bachelorette since BEFORE the season started lol but mid-season I thought it was going to go to Maria or even Daisy based on how many people liked Maria and Daisy. But now I definitelyyy would not want it any other way😊
Looking back with hindsight, she is the most perfect choice, more perfect than Maria or Daisy. It is boring that the lead looks the same season after season. A change like this is refreshing and makes the show look good in terms of being progressive and inclusive. Plus, Jenn is gorgeous, intelligent, kind, well spoken, everything you would want in the ideal Bachelorette!!!
@@lilkellie9797 I'm not picky about who is chosen. I was hoping for Maria for a while, but I've been here since the first season of the Bachelor and I've watched everything, so I'm just not picky. I think she'll do just as good as anybody else would. I just hope she didn't give up her career for this. So many of these young people give up their careers for temporary fame, and I hope that's not the case here.
Y’all I get it I wanted Maria to be it, but if she turned it down, and Daisy turned it down (who I honestly didn’t even really want as bachelorette anyway) then there’s nothing y’all can do about it. So rude with the “who’s Jenn?” comments give the girl a break, it’s already bad enough that she was chosen as a backup, and not bc they really wanted the first Asian and has horrible looking men lined up (who were probably told they were signing up for Daisy so we’ll see how that turns out). And everyone saying “oh she’s not ready for marriage” are the same people who wanted Daisy when she’s just as boring and unready for marriage as Jenn. So it’s okay for Daisy, but it’s not okay for Jenn? The double standard there is insane
Glad the show finally has diversity. Having the same color in the past shows has become so boring. I stopped watching the Bachelorette for awhile because there was no diversity. Now, I can’t wait to watch the show again because of this gorgeous Asian American as the female lead.
Im excited to watch jenn as first asian bachelorete..she looks so cute and beautiful..she looks like ready to have a good family and i hope she will a find a good husband ..goodluck to u jenn..watching from philippines
I don't understand people think everything is an ethnicity/race representation. It is an individual interest and confidence in show case expression of love for people to be entertained in their sexualality. Each individual has their own love/sexualality regardless of race. Bachelor/bachlorrett isn't a talent to thrive for opportunities to prove the world that it can be achievable in each ethnicity.
It"s about time for an Asian bachelorette. I wouldn't be surprised if her season would be the most watched one. If it is shown in China for sure the franchise would be viewed so much by millions and millions of people. Even without China, the whole of Asia would be really a HUGE HUGE market.
Congratulations to Jenn. She is great. I just think Daisy deserved it more after what she has been through, but maybe she just was not ready. Jenn is gorgeous. I really hate that Daisy got hurt! Joey knee his choice and gave her a date where he could be a coward and not have to talk to her and then that night should have not kept her hanging on. Daisy can do better than Joey. I’m sure he is nice but he is too insecure to handle secure women. Jenn I hope you find the right guy for you.
Not all of the runner ups get chosen to be the bachelorette, like for instance Rachel Lindsay was in 3rd place when she was chosen, Hannah brown was eliminated before hometowns and she was chosen as the bachelorette, Katie Thurston was in 11th place and they still picked her
Mar. 27, 2024 : You must have forgotten the franchise does what it wants. There is NO set pattern. Matt James was not even a part of the Bachelor franchise but HE was still chosen.
Rumor is Daisy and Maria declined. They do not tell you who declined! I'm actually surprised that Jenn is the first Asian bachelorette after how many years this show has been around! That's really not anything to cheer about...should have happened a long time ago!
I feel like she's a beautiful girl however I don't think her personality is there she doesn't have much of a personality I'm sorry best of luck to her I really would have rather Maria however she's too emotional too so I don't believe any of them left were good enough to be The bachelorette to be honest I watch it with Jen I don't feel like I'm going to finish the whole season with her through. I need more personality we need more personality
You know what would be absolutely crazy and it would never happen, if someone from a past season came on her season because they were interested in her. The Internet goes crazy thinking it was Blake only to be revealed as Ethan from Rachel’s bachelorette season.
They are not playing the “diversity card” they literally asked Daisy but she said no. If Daisy said yes then she would have been it. Jenn just happened to be the first one to accept the role and she just happened to be Asian. So stop that
who would you have rather? diversity is good. im glad they're switching it up. there's more than just the blonde white girl Bachelorettes that we've already seen 20x already
I’m disappointed in you for being racist and calling her the worst choice ever simply because she’s Asian. Miss me with that racism. She’s amazing and it’s about time we have an Asian bachelorette
