I NEED Jenna in an actual lesbian movie, like the fallout except with a happy ending. I was at first intrigued by this movie but then looked up the plot and was honestly disgusted, I wasn't going to watch the movie anyways but with your review it solidified my thoughts. Stuff like this always upsets me. But I am so glad you gave an amazing and honest review. When I first saw the kissing scene I thought the film was going to be about Ortega's character playing the Teacher the entire time whilst really being in love with her best friend. In a sort of noir kind of storytelling twist that they were in to set him up for his predatory behaviors. Sadly it seems it wasn't that and it didn't have much substance outside of that. Thank you for this review :) You do a wonderful job telling the truth and helping us all invest time in some great wlw films as opposed to getting tricked by scenes that go viral such such as with films like Miller's Girl and the Anne Hathaway one that just came out? To me the two greatest lesbian films I've seen are Bound and Better than Chocolate. Better than Chocolate being one of my all-time personal favorites. Do you think you'll review or discuss both films on this channel? They are wonderful throwbacks that both still hold up and to me are still the gold standards to this day. Better than Chocolate especially touching upon things that are now very current in the public eye and it was ahead of it's time addressing imo! P.S. Thank you for such amazing work.

Thanks for sharing another movie find. It’s interesting how they’re lesbians, but is after the male coach. Truly mind boggling. This must have been written from a straight male perspective. Anyway, I agree that due to limited content, we should appreciate what we can get. Films and TV shows are great to a certain extent; however, nothing beats a real couple and I’m glad we get to experience that in real life or admire inspiring relationship in social media.

Gideon Adlon has not gotten the praise she deserves for her work in this film. She was fantastic! Now, despite the fair criticisms of the movie and their kissing scene, the fact is Jenna Ortega just raised the bar for passionate making out between two women in mainstream cinema. For the male gaze or not, this isn’t the choreographed mashing of lips of most lesbian kissing scenes. Obviously their chemistry wasn’t just on set, as a modicum of sleuthing on social media lays bare. Jenna Ortega, bless her heart, has pretty much publicly come out, without having publicly come out.

I din't like the film at all, Ortega was good, has usual, but she was in the wrong film, in my opinion, and for the other actors, I didn't like their performance expecially the so called lesbian friends with long fingernails, in case some one erroneously, would think that she was actually a lesbian in real life, going for a male and much older teacher, this film is for male pedophile audience and... I to don't recomand to watch the film but... you probably will watch because... why not??? In the end... it's going to be joust a couple of hours wasted... Thanks so much ;D

That is the reason why I did the video. I also don't recommend it. I watched the film because I saw the kiss on Instagram, and I liked the kiss, but the film was crap. The script was crap. The plot was crap and totally for the male gaze. They deserved better. My favorite, to tell you the truth, was Mrs. Miller, the wife.

I think I saw the trailer of this in the movies here in Brazil and I felt some queer vibes but there were no real indication of actually being a queer movie, it just seemed like a real fucked up movie of a girl that has been throught a fucked up situation and instead of alerting the next girl that the same thing could happen to her, she basically helped the other girl to be in the same situation as her, but idk why for, maybe revenge or jelousy. Idk, it just seemed so fucking heavy and predatory on part of the girl and the teacher.
