Yep blew my mind when I heard Drake and Josh weren't really that close. Josh said they started close but Josh fell into punk, metal, partying. Drake fell into skating and music. Just didn't mesh But both of them didn't want to be the one that ruined the fun for fans so they just acted like friends

I loved what she said about Miranda helping her to accept and trust female friendships after her mom instilled the thought that all other women were competition. All Miranda did was show her kindness and it changed her life, so sweet

The way she talks about Miranda in her book is so touching. I can tell she wanted to be closer to Miranda and found her such a source of love and support but her mom made that difficult. I love them and hope they stay super close forever ❤

God I love both of them. Two child stars that made it out without destroying themselves first. Both of them are hugely successful intelligent women who didn’t compromise their morals. I respect the absolute hell outa them.
Just thought Id point it out because TBH reading your comment made me a little upset, other child stars that did as you say "compromise their morals" or "went crazy" as the media puts it didn't destroy themselves HOLLYWOOD destroyed them. Their abusers and the pedophiles that work with these child actors are at fault not the children that later turn to substances ect to try and function after all that. Imagine as such a young child being abused day in and day out in every way by soo many people around you, and most of the child actors had no support system either. It'd be hell. It'd take a phenomenal kid or even adult to come out of that a sane and well adjusted person! In that respect I do have tons and tons of respect and admiration for Jennette and Miranda! But the other child actors that don't fare as well deserve our support in healing and moving foreword as well, not being written off as crazy, having compromised their morals or lost causes because they struggle with self destructive behaviors Anyway Im not trying to attack you or anything, just wanted to point this out, Hope you have a great day!

It warms my heart that Carly and Sam weren’t just friends on screen. I’m glad that Jeanette and Miranda not only still have a strong bond, they were there for each other during some hard times in Jeanette’s life
Their friendship being so authentic is 100% why the show worked. Everyone wanted a best friend like Sam and Carly it wasn’t that it was the best story or funniest jokes they had such great on screen chemistry, I think that was the flaw in Sam and kat
Exactly this! Sam and Carly had very believable chemistry as friends that only got better as the show went on. Sam and Cat didn't work nearly as well because their personalities clash instead of compliment each other.

While Carly & Sam are different they’re not so completely different to where they have nothing in common, no chemistry or anything that really compliments each other. Sam & Cat on the other hand are so completely 100% polar opposite with absolutely nothing going for them that it’s so hard to get behind them. They have nothing to grasp and keep you interested. No chemistry.

I love how she spoke about Miranda. It’s one of those friendships where they can go a decade without speaking but when they see each other it’s like no time has passed.

I had a roommate that performed this role for me. He encouraged me to stand up straight and not be so stressed out. We don't talk today but he was an important part of my growth.

I listened to her book and every time she talked about Miranda it was like she was one of the few people she actually felt safe with. It was so sweet between all the bad things she was going through

I know that Jennette had a rough childhood during iCarly and how she didn’t even want to become an actress in the first place, but getting to see your best friend at the job you don’t want to go to definitely helps lift up the spirits a little! Of course she had other terrible things she was dealing with at the time, but I hope Jennette felt a little bit happier when she went to see and work with Miranda 😊

Miranda was really supportive in her book. She was a real friend and a very well adjusted human being throughout it. I really recommend it. The audio book is brutal.

Even though she went through a lot, it makes me happy that Jeanette and Miranda had a good friendship and even years later they still are good friends. While she may never come back to acting, It’s really nice to know that through all the hardships Jennette McCurdy had Miranda was always there for her and still is.
Hearing about her relationship with her mother makes me appreciate my mom so much more. It has to be incredibly tough when the one person your supposed to be able to rely on, your mom, doesn’t show you she loves you.

I loved these 2 growing up, and in my opinion their characters in iCarly related to who they are in real life. Two really cool females with good heads on their shoulders, will always be part of all of our childhood. Really heart warming seeing and hearing this, truly beautiful souls.

I remember growing up watching All That, The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, and iCarly. I always had a thing for Jennette, and apparently still do. She grew up to be a strong, beautiful woman. I'm happy for her and wherever her path takes her.
I've always had a soft spot for Jeanette, had a crush on her since i was a wee lad & it makes sense looking back because I wasn't just seeing an actress i thought was beautiful, but I was seeing another struggling kid in a world where nobody truly cares & I related to her over that. I hope she is doing beyond well, i hope she's living a happy and fulfilling life & I hope she gets everything she's ever wanted and deserved. ❤

A true friend only comes once in a lifetime. I've known my best friend since 3rd grade. He lives in Arizona, me in California. Barely talk to the guy, every time we do talk however. It's like not a minute has passed since we last spoke. Keep those kinds of friends close, you'll never truly be alone
