Beauty is subjective, no one actually cares about standards. Lets be honest, when we all first saw BLACKPINK we literally didn't knew anything about Korean beauty standards neither we had any prejudice that the one who fits the standard is the most beautiful nor we knew that a position like visual exists. When I was first introduced to BLACKPINK, lisa and jennie stood out the most when it came to looks (all members are very beautiful though). Afterwards when I started to love all of them and became a BLINK, I came to know everything about Korean beauty standards and visual rankings but I still don't support this system cuz for me all of them are beautiful, unique and talented in their own ways.

Great analysis! I was wondering how in the world can Jennie look hot and charismatic but at the same time look cute and innocent. It’s understandable why many Koreans and Westerners love her face and it’s because she suits both standards. Jennie has one of the most beautiful faces and if I have to choose my favourite visual in BP I will choose her.
What makes Jennie attractive is her way of using her beauty to her advantage, she highlights her cat eyes when she touches a sexy or tough concept, she highlights her lips, cheeks and gummy smile to her advantage for a cuter look, she has a unique beauty, and she knows it, it is that confidence that attracts everyone to her.

I think the huge part of what makes Jennie or Blackpink or any other person in general standout is the fashion , aura , the vibe and confidence . Offcourse the girls are pretty , but they aren't considerably the best looking humans ever , all that is extremely subjective an depends on every individuals taste . jennie has a small, round face, full lips with soft jawline, baby fat and round chin. Her nose is small but short and undefined nose-bridge. She has hooded eyelids which i find you messing these up with doudle eyelids a lot. Her skin tone is rather tan but nice hourglass body. Overrall, her figures are not ideal but they are compatible, make her visual unique and really attractive

Not discrediting you or anything, but on dating sites, middle eastern women are actually some of the most popular according to statistics. In my opinion, it makes sense. They got long, wavy, thick hair, tanned skin (many white people want to tan, and black people are pressured to be brighter, indian skin tones is a good inbetween), they tend to be curvier, not as skinny or flat as east asians, but not as thick or masculin looking as black women, like you guys really have a lot of traits other races crave, you're just not seen as much in the media. But feel free to reply with your experience and thoughts! I haven't looked into it a whole lot, but I think that's part of why. Along with the fact that asians in general are considered more feminine and 'submissive' in comparison to whie and black females.
@@kamekomiyamora that's ok! south east asia is countries like thailand, the philippeans, indonesia, cambodia, singapore, malaysia ect. south asia is countries like bangladesh, india, pakistan, sri lanka, bhutan, nepal, and the maldives. the middle east is countries like iran, iraq, afghanistan, syria, yemen, jordan, qatar, the UAE, and jordan. this isn't a list of all the countries in those regions but hopefully it's enough to give you a good understanding of which countries are in which regions! i can definitely understand how it could be a little confusing, i only really know this stuff because i have se asian family members and arab friends. :D

it is often skipped over, but i believe the largest part of what controls facial harmony is the hairline. a face just automatically looks more attractive with fuller hair and a good hairline, one which jennie posses.
“Beauty standards” aren’t meant to be taken literally. They have originated simply because “x, y, and z attractive person” had something in common, therefore “insert a feature” must be attractive. Not the other way around. Not ever.

Neoteny and Symetry is a big factor in attractiveness for, especially in females. And korean beauty standards only measure a small portion of that, while adding things that don't matter that much.

I'm late but Jennie was really pretty like her uniqueness makes me attractive to her. I am 40% in Korean beauty standards but I'll never be as pretty as her.
Having ideal facial features generally means will be judged to be more attractive. But features need to be “taken” as a whole. Something like symmetry/harmony of the face. So even if you don’t have ideal features, still can be judged to be attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Like what is considered beautiful in Korea and USA are almost polar opposite. Thin lips vs full/plump lips, slightly arched vs moderately arched eye brows, slim waist/hips/butt vs big/curvy waist/hips/butt, slim/spaghetti legs vs muscular/slightly thick legs, small vs bigger face, etc. There is NOTHING wrong with judging people’s looks. We ALL (100%) do it, whether you want to admit it (or not). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may like someone who is really slim or you may prefer someone with a little more “meat on their bones”. That’s your opinion. It’s not right or wrong. And saying someone is really slim or fat is NOT “shaming” them. Just stating facts without judgment. If you think of it as a “negative”, that’s YOU judging and shaming in your mind.

honestly what makes someone attractive is their charms, different people has different charms/vibes they give off. To me, a person who’s naturally more attractive than the other can look less attractive once the other one shows off more of his/her charms. This is why it’s important to not judge someone by their looks. First impression is always important but don’t judge someone fully from that, their personality is what makes them more attractive To all the people feeling insecure out there, you might think most people judge you by looks but that’s not the case. This is why ideal beauty is simply a marketing strategy rather than who is really beautiful and who is not. She has more of a unique beauty feature than looking like everyone who does fit the ideal . For example her round face makes her really young looking, who doesn’t want to look younger? And she has some features that really look edgy with make up and long hair. But also a long bob does fit her. Unique beauty is sometimes better than ideal fitting beauty. Also beauty is mostly opinion based. Because also every country has different ideals.
