She's not a bad performer, she's just inconsistent one that's the difference. This performance might "be proving them wrong" but next thing you know, she's gonna another performance where she's proving them right. I'm not arguing that she sang well, but the backup vocals were doing a lot of heavy lifting in this. There were whole moments where she just stopped singing (her mouth was not moving) and she came back in later. I don't know if she was stopping to catch her breath or something (as it is very hard to sing and dance at the same time), but I don't think this performance would be as solid without the backup track and vocals.

@@toomuchpassion2361those were the dance break moments plus the part of song where artist usually let back vocals carry. It’s very common in the music industry. But this also means that it was live (not moving mouth to show as if lip syncs) … I’d prefer back vocals and the dance break .. rather than siting and singing all the parts.. the reason why I love K-pop. However I saw her jazz/acoustic ones too where she sits and sings.. if u like whole sing to be sang maybe u can check it out

Unfortunately I didn't very like the performance. She sang half of it, the other half was lipsynching, and towards the end you could clearly hear that she simply didn't sing along with some words because she was so out of breath and you could clearly see this in the expression on her face. You could clearly see that she was struggling! (I will refer to everything listed with time skips, otherwise I know full well that *toxic* blinks would claim that I'm just a hater or whatever.) I just wonder why she was so out of breath during the performance... She sang another song, unfortunately I'm not sure which one and whether it was before or after her solo, but her vocals were much more stable. And please don't come with the argument that it is difficult to dance and sing at the same time. Of course it's difficult, I would never say anything against it, but she's been an idol for 7 years and has literally trained for it because it's her job. And the choreo really isn't so hard that you get so out of breath. Especially not if you're supposed to be a professional and practice your solo. I would just think it would be nice if people here weren't just biased and addressed all criticism immediately. Criticism that is polite and objective is always okay. If you can't handle criticism, you'll have a lot of problems... What doesn't work at all, of course, are hateful comments!

I just summarized the whole song because there are discussions again about whether she lipsyncs or not because some people are literally to blind. And in fact, I actually know idols who can do this because they train and practice for it every day. Especially more the smaller groups.

She is out of breath so it's wise of her to not sing some line and take a short break so that it won't ruin her performance 2. these days, 5-6-7-8-9 members group performances where each has to sing few lines but still chose to mess up live/ lipsync are quite common in Kpop. understand the fact that the choreos nowadays are hard to perform with live singing but I can accept what Jennie did here.. she seemed out of breath but she managed well and she is enjoying her stage, she sang all of her lines except chorus ( she perform this song that way all the time) So overall, this performance is enjoyable unlike her previous messed-up performances in Born Pink tour. I know she is inconsistent and need to improve breath control more but I'm glad she still sings live, charismatic on stage and I can feel her joy throughout the performance . My rating 7/10

Very nice performance, I have only one beef - would it hurt them to make the skirt just a little bit longer, so that the shorts don’t constantly pick out? I mean the stylist can do whatever within reason, but this peekaboo thing is not always visually good. In this case Jenny has an absolutely stunning outfit, minimalistic even , there is an idea behind it, and then the visual is broken by the damn shorts.
