I love how she corrected ‘don’t make me cry’ to ‘we won’t make each other cry’. Shows so much emotional intelligence in not putting it on her that her crying would also make her cry.
Rich people crying irritates me. edit: Damn, too many of you getting your knickers in a twist over a person that will never even know about your existence. Go cry about it 😢😢
I had read about this in Variety. The other woman who is interviewing Jennifer Aniston is also an actress and they actually interview each other. It was stated in Variety how the other actress stopped and told Jennifer that they didn’t have to talk about it if she didn’t want to, since she was clearly crying due to the fact that Matthew Perry had only passed away about six months prior.
When she said “thank you hunny” to the man who brought the tissue… it just shows that she doesn’t think she’s above anyone. Shes always been so graceful.
Absolutely LOVE, Jen, and LOVE F•R•I•E•N•D•S! She's been one of my girl crushes for years. She's so kind and beautiful inside and out. It broke my heart watching her tear up.❤ R.I.P. Matthew Perry
@bhenrydrum77 Lording a celebrity because she says thanks is ridiculous. They're just people. If the man in front of you in the que at Tesco said thanks bunny to the cashier, would you have the same reaction? Idolising celebrity is a little weird. That's all I'm saying.
The young woman doing the interview is Quinta Bronson. She’s the creator and also stars in Abbott Elementary (best comedy of the year) you can thank me later.
@@nl2766Really? IMA, Quinta was doing a great job of trying to read the multiple emotions Jennifer was displaying. She was all over the place and rightly so.
I honestly believe more people in the world have shed a tear for him at one time or another than has happened since maybe Princess Diana. Not even kidding.
Jennifer called Matt every single day to check on him and his sobriety. Every single day for years she called him and asked “Matty are you ok?” What an amazing thing to do for a friend
This is why they were paired. They bring so much heart to their shows. Quinta is insanely emotionally grounded and her and her teams work prove there is so much heart to be shared between people.
@@TraceyGraingerYou heard what I wrote, but didn't listen ❤ The very beautiful difference between the 2 is.. 1 hears words just to quickly speak back, the other listens for the heart and takes the time to understand ❤ And I wrote... Like .. a little girl, not, she is a little girl. Bless you sweetheart 🥰
Jen grew up mostly without her parents because her father left her and her mother hated her😢 I feel sorry for Jennifer, she will never have a family and is always alone😢
@@joyfullnlr I think it’s too late for Jen to find someone, no man in Hollywood is interested in a 55 year old woman who can’t have kids😞 she’s been alone forever and that won’t change sadly
@@carolandrews9406 Yes, it really bothers me that so many times people bring up Brad to her. That was so long ago. They've both moved on. Let's stay in the present!

Quinta is really lucky, she’s talented and successful with a great family. Poor depressed Jennifer only has her money but zero family . Every man has dumped her because she can’t have kids and she cant even get a boyfriend now because she’s too old and unattractive
Jennifer seems so depressed, sad and tired of life😢 If she was really happy, she would not look so old for her age, most actresses in their 50s look much younger
I love how it seemed like Quinta was about to say in response, “Don’t make me cry.” But stopped and decided to say, “We won’t make each other cry.” Because she realized it wasn’t emotions just because she missed doing the show, the emotions were clearly coming from Matthew Perry’s passing, and she had enough respect to realize that and not make it about her.
This was so sweet. I’ve always thought that Jennifer Aniston seems like a genuinely kind soul. Yea she’s got fame and success but she seems humble and considerate of others and doesn’t let her position make her look down on others.
That brief exchange of “I just started thinking about…” “I know.” said it all. It’s still so heartbreaking that we lost Matthew Perry, and I loved seeing compassion and grace like that between two people. 😢
@@lmr31721probably had a happy memory crossed her mind about him but he passed so isn’t like she can just call him and be like “omgosh I was just thinking about you remember when xyz.
I’ve met Quinta in person and this is who she is. She is a very warm, engaging, friendly, down to earth woman who is tune with the emotions/vibes of others around her. Both of these women are a class act! Can’t wait to watch this entire interaction. Plus, Quinta looks GORGEOUS….those boots 😻🔥& Jennifer doesn’t seem to age.
If so many of us miss him every time we watch the reruns, imagine what she must feel thinking about him! These actors truly became family for their audience.

I like seeing human emotions & that celebrities are real. I don’t wish that grief upon anyone, but seeing them straight faced & acting “normal” would seem even stranger. I’ve always liked Jennifer for her ability to be a human ♥️
Quinta handled that like an expert! I love that Jen was able show her emotional side. This was excellent, thanks for sharing an honest, human moment ❤😊
I don't know what it is about Jennifer Aniston but there is something about her that just radiates in interviews that what you see if what you get and what you get is a kind-hearted, gentle soul. I adore her. I love how she can tie in humour in such an emotional moment. RIP Matthew Perry.
Jennifer Aniston is such a timeless beauty and incredibly talented. Quinta handled that moment so well with her. We will all miss Matthew and have the nostalgia that is “friends”.
Jennifer Aniston seems like one of the most genuine, warmest people in the biz (along with Jennifer Garner). She’s always been so DTE, authentic & sincere in her emotional expression. You can tell she’s really hurting at Matt’s passing. Quinta handled it with compassion, grace & just allowed Jen time to regroup. Two really wonderful ladies! 💕
This at it’s core, is such a sweet and kind interaction between two caring spirits. Bless Jennifer for the resolve and care she shows herself, alongside the care and compassion and emotional intelligence of Quinta, the interviewer- both are so inspiring. It makes me think of how can I do better, when someone is vulnerable, and emotional, and raw, and in real time processing their internal world right in front of me? How can I be more like Quinta? How can I be as deeply compassionate and caring and give the other person the permission to take as much space as they need? Something worth trying, because if this interaction can touch my heart, without me even being in the room, imagine what impact I could have on someone there with me, going through their complex emotions. ❤

@@CatherineLane-rb4em Abbott Elementary is my go-to show for the last 2-3 seasons. I keep my HULU subscription so I don't have to wait a week for the episode to drop on ABC
What a natural comedienne. I'm dealing with alot if stress & loss & am almost incapable of smiling, let alone laughing, but when Jennifer said "I was an old soul" l did both.
Awe quinta it's so nice to see such genuinely empathetic interviewer caring more about the person than the story. It was refreshing. They also have great chemistry with their quips back and forth. ❤
I love seeing Quinta so successful, landing jobs like Variety. And now I’m just being nostalgic over her early days at Buzzfeed, back when it was good.
What a sweet moment. Women being gentle, being supportive and then talking about Friends. So profound! Also, those boots. Excuse the entire building. Damn!😮
Dang... Quinta's emotional intelligence is incredible. She's going to go so far, as long as she stays true to herself, and has people around her to keep her grounded. Based off this clip alone, I believe she's going to have a very long successful career. ❤
Dynamic Duo was so naturally synced with one another. That's the way to go in this cruel world. Showing empathy and compassion for each other would solve a lot of people's problems ❤️
What an absolute lovely host ❤ just saw the short of this interview and I've never felt so moved by just a few words which were so well chosen to comfort someone and make them feel safe. Truly heartwarming ❤I wish we'd see this more on TV ❤
Gosh Quinta is amazing. This is how ALL interviewers should be! I would love to see her have her own talk show. She would be so much better than almost all of the others out there!
That’s what’s so beautiful with Friends, that their true friendship transcends into their characters. Combined with superb script writing, makes that show never get old.
It means so much to me that the show meant so much to the actors as well. The chemistry isn’t fake, they loved the show too. I have a legos set of friends and have introduced my kindergartener. Won’t ever let this show die out, it is the best ever made.
I love Jennifer ❤️ I love her hair! She is such an authentic beautiful person. She's been through a lot and I wish the guy she deserves would come and treat her like a princess and spoil her like she deserves and not leave 😢❤she so deserves that
We love you Jennifer - thank you to you, Matthew, David, Courtney, Matt and Lisa for such incredible memories which continue playing a big part in so many of our lives. Friends will always be special. Thank you. 🩷🙏
I have a sister that reminds me so much of Jennifer, stunning looks, professional through and through, kind, hysterical, and is so relatable to be around.❤
Jennifer is the real deal. Yes million of gazillions of people know who she is, but she is 110% a genuine beautiful hearted gal. I do that, i cry then i make jokes. Emotional balance . 😉☮️❤️
Going through some fairly bad ocd flare ups lately but asmr always calms me. It’s been my safe community for 20 years now. Thank you. Your voice is heaven
You can believe they're fake tears all you want, but it's still weird that they (Variety) wanted to exploit Matthew's death that way. That "ask her what's like to watch FRIENDS now" was not necessary at all (unless you find pleasure in making/seeing other people cry).
I think it's important to deal with your reality instead suppressing your emotions and pretending like something didn't happen. That does more damage to a person. It's the 30th anniversary of the show, and it's a fair question. Can they never ask any of them about the show anymore because of Matthew's death?
They absolutely can ask about the show. And it IS healing and important to deal with your reality. But both things should happen in environments where the topic doesn't become exploitative. Every person who's lost a loved one should talk about them whenever they're ready, not when a producer (I assume, could be a Director as well) is throwing the question around so they'd get more views on their videos. And you can actually see how Quinta refused to do it, because she saw Jennifer was not ready to talk about the friend she lost. The question would have been different if the lady had said: "ask her how's like to watch FRIENDS" instead, she said "to watch FRIENDS 'now'" full knowing there's a lot of grief involved in the process right in this moment. (Not to mention, and I might be completely wrong here, I thought the point of these conversations was for actors to share their own experiences and ask their own questions. They can get some stuff pointed out, but the lady was adamant in making Quinta ask a specific question. Then, why is it called Actors on Actors and not Producers on Actors, or something like that?).
@@MsPsychedelia I think social media and comments sections have caused us all to overanalyze everything. We now must place some sort of critical take on everything: "Exploitative" or "Toxic" or "Punching Down" or whatever the term of the moment is. It's a conversation. She was asked a question. Jennifer Aniston, by her own admission, cries at the drop of a hat. She used cry about Matthew Perry when he was alive and sitting next to him. I'm sure she's fine. Honestly, if she didn't want to talk about it or be asked about it, she would have said so. We're spending way too much time reading into everything and looking for a criticism or a reason to be offended. And not just offended, but offended on someone else's behalf, who never asked us to be offended for them. It's gone too far.
i’ve been watching Friends since i could watch tv. there’re baby pics of me in front of the tv playing & watching it. all 25 years of my life have been enriched by that group. RIP Matty ❤️
