I mean she is basically the equivalent of the first MILF to walk on the moon. (Well, maybe not, there's The Graduate, but American Pie still invented the term.) Can't blame him.
It always annoyed me that Jeremy was always overlooked by award shows when he was on shameless, his performance always stood out to me. It’s great that people have now realised how insanely talented he is. I hope he wins the Emmy 🤞
It's kinda crazy how similar they are. They're definitely at different stages in their lives, but both Jeremy and Jennifer have been working extremely hard for YEARS with little to no critical/ mainstream love or recognition who finally receive it for roles they didn't expect to go anywhere.
Lip has been a fan favourite for yyeaaarsss in Shameless. I think he feels like he wasn't noticed by the industry, not the fans per se. He is mainstream, but for one role, it must get increasingly discouraging. I'm glad he's doing new stuff now.
@spacebar9733 Like the great Judge Judy has said before, "If you didn't make it in your 20s, you can make it in your 30s. If you didn't make it in your 30s, you can make it in your 40s, and if you didn't make it in your 40s, you can make it in your 50s. Never too late. So, have fun. That's what it's all about."
This is possibly the first time I've seen Jennifer do her natural voice and persona. She even does her persona during her awards acceptance speeches and I love seeing the real her. Just like how Paris Hilton dropped her persona recently, she too has a much deeper natural voice.
@michelle well of course she's not acting a part here. But her new character in white lotus sounds much closer to her actual voice than her past character from the early 2000s which is what the op was referring to
@@alissabuhl2775 nope, I was including her white lotus character as well as her recent awards acceptance speeches at the Emmys, Golden Globes and SAG awards when saying I haven't heard her real voice before.
I love how honest Jennifer is that she didn't ride the 90s wave because she was chasing guys or whatever. Of course she's anazing fun on screen, but she comes across as so real in this interview too
Absolutely hahaha, also how she says she’s attracted to chefs cause they’re dominant or saying how she struggles with life as it is let alone in a safari 😂😂
She's so Real for saying she has struggles with insecurity in her acting if they don't say anything 😅 and not hopping on the wave as she was distracted. It's good when we see the toxic patterns, and change 🙂💚😊
someone tell jeremy that he was hands down one of the best actors in shameless and he should’ve gotten incredible recognition for it and he ABSOLUTELY BELONGS in hollywood
I agree but Emmy really did most of the heavy lifting. Carried tf outta that show for the years she was on. I didn't know she had it in her prior to her casting, but she really gave it her all. A raw and unfiltered, emotionally unrestrained mess. I'm just impressed by her
Jennifer flirting with Jeremy at any chance is all of us. He's always had the good acting chops since shameless, his eyes say it all. I love these one on one conversations.
Okay I agree. I actually believe it's because he has blue eyes, he might have extra sensitive eyes, especially with the heavy lights. I have brown eyes but mine are very sensitive to sunlight, it makes you tear up and u either blink constantly or tear up.
@@spacebar9733 Yep I have blue eyes too and like there was a massive camera light across the street from me like I turned around to see what was happening. Like I had blurry vision for about 10 minutes and I just looked at the light for 5s.... But it's his job to have massive lights in his face. I dont know 🤗
you're not kidding, I'm having terrible internet problems so the video always sticks for loading and everytime the camera turns on him, it sticks and he always looks like he's about to cry 😭
This pairing is genius lol. Loved the conversation, Jennifer was so real and vulnerable. Jeremy was incredibly earnest and endearing. Very entertaining. 10/10
When Jennifer recalled those regrets about her early career breakout, sorting through her memories and emotions in real time, she looked like she was talking to a therapist. And the way Jeremy sat in the chair with his legs crossed, relaxed but totally attentive, looked exactly like a non-judgmental therapist. Impeccable complementary vibes!
Jennifer is such a girly girl. Like it just feels like she’s in her early twenties!!! Her flirtatious nature and awkwardness and self-consciences almost as if she doesn’t understand her charm and captivity that she keeps people in!! Obsessed with her
yeah. And it's interesting how I would usually think that leaning into that so heavily does women - and herself - a disservice and is mostly is a shtick (thinking that way also signifies how partriachal our society overall is though) but it feels authentic for her and that is frankly great.
Whoever saw the thread between these two and paired them up is GENIUS. They're both such talented, beloved actors who have such a strong cult fanbase. Known for a few iconic pieces of work, FINALLY being recognized even more seriously. Everyone loves em and their characters. They're funny and genuine and private but open. Love this duo!
"Maybe she could come back as a seagull and poke Greg's eyes out." The silent laughter behind this was perfect. An unexpected duo but now I want so much more with these two.
He could have easily been goofy and playful all the time not taking her serious because that's the idea how many people see her but no, he respectfully asked very professional questions about her career and roles and attentively listened to them! I loved it 💜 And she was a good listener too 💚
It’s so good to see both of them getting so much awards and positive attention, Jeremy helped to CARRY Shameless emotionally for years and the Bear is so good, and Jennifer is just an icon Queen who should rule the world
As someone who's a culinary arts graduate and has been in the food industry for 10 years, I appreciate Jeremy and the writers highlighting the REALITY of being a chef in the industry. It's chaos, work long hours, obsess over your craft, sleep, repeat. So great to hear that's why they kept a love interest out
In some of Jennifer's recent interviews and acceptance speeches, she's been saying, "I've been enjoying this ride I've been on" and, "This could be it." It's pretty much meaning the ride isn't going to last very long. I sincerely hope some directors are going to be offering Jennifer some great material to continue to show her range as an actress. After White Lotus, hopefully, there will be more opportunities and awards coming her way. Love her.
I really liked the vulnerability both displayed when she spoke about not riding the wave and chasing the wrong guys and she could finally quit waiting tables in her 30s and how Jeremy worked so hard for years to get noticed. And shooting a pilot of The Bear and waiting for 6 months. It tells you how difficult an artist’s journey is and yet they continue to show up and stay patient and then a day comes when they finally get to hold that Emmy. Nothing inspires more! Thanks for this pair. ❤
Anyone that has watched Shameless already knew what a talent Jeremy is and hated how he was always snubbed for his performance as Lip. I'm glad he is finally getting the recognition he deserves
I never realized how easy he seems to talk to. Wow. As everyone else is saying in the comments though, really happy he's finally getting recognition. Also, she is a REALLY good interviewer. Using her own experiences to ask him questions, and help him feel more comfortable opening up and being vulnerable like this. The audience gets to see a totally different side to him (and her) as people and professionals.
The chemistry of both is off the charts, whether is implicit flirtation or awkwardness, they are both charming and beautiful. Hope they find the right story and do a series together 🎞🖤
This pairing is so wonderful. Jeremy comes across as naturally humble and a little vulnerable. He seemed genuinely interested in her as a person and an actor rather than the popular persona. I think it allows Jennifer felt more able to just be herself in this interview. Would love to see them together in soemthing.
This was such an amazing interview. I love how sincere it was and the energy from both actors. They balanced very well without detracting from each other while simultaneously showing their individuality and elevating the conversation. I'd love to see them on a project together. They are both amazing! And I love them both so much ❤❤ Additionally, Jennifer's insight about taking responsibility for your life is priceless wisdom. And I'm happy we all got to hear that and maybe put that hard-earned wisdom to use in our own lives. Thank you Ms. Jennifer Coolidge. 👑
I love how Jennifer just rants about all the people who put obstacles in her career in such a clever way that 'if you know what I'm saying, you know'. She does not have all the support on set or in her personal life that she deserves because she's a smart powerful woman and people belittle her for that. Love you both babes!!❤
It’s wild how she doesn’t realize how truly, overwhelmingly loved she is by all of us!! “Flukey moment” like what!! You are a gem and iconic in everything you do, we love you JC! ❤
Jennifer is the epitome of ADHD (not a Doctor) but I identify with her SO much. She embodies empathy! It’s difficult explaining things but it makes sense in my head.
Jennifer makes everything seem so accidental and serendipitous her acting choices and she seems to be so ephemeral in her approach (if she has one). This interview really showcases her as a person. Her natural charm and magnetism along with his earnest curiosity and calm is so perfect!
After watching this man grow up on Shameless, I feel so personally invested in his success. The Bear has sealed his fate and I could not be happier. God how I love this man.
Watched Shameless for years. Jeremy is a once in a generation talent. In every scene, time stands still. The Bear is phenomenal. So happy he is getting the accolades he truly deserves.
I think Jeremy killed it as a chef. I'm a cook, have been working and running different kitchens with different people and cultures since I was 17 years old. Kitchen life definitely transforms you completely. You need to be a strong person, both physically and mentally, to work in a great kitchen. Otherwise, you'll never make it. Keep it up, Jeremy, you are killing it.🇵🇷🔥👨🏻🍳
Jeremy appears to be so thoughtful, and so genuinely interested in Jennifer and what she does, he seems to be a very nice guy. It's nice to see this in an actor, as so many are so self-involved. It's nice to discover he's so likable. And Jennifer's equally thoughtful. These are two people who did not expect the success they're experiencing, who do not take their accomplishments for granted.
Jennifer Coolidge's magnificently over the top portrayal of Angie Serabian in the "Dial M for Provenza" episode of 'The Closer' was the highlight of summer 2008, and I still laugh and feel good all over just thinking about it! I am so glad that the whole world has finally caught up to the fact that she is a marvel‼
@@cherylmilke313 I do too, and not just because I have a ridiculous crush on Raymond Cruz. I feel the same way about 'Major Crimes'👍I was so glad that they spunoff "The Closer' into it!
I wanna be like Jennifer Coolidge when I grow up. (I’m 25.) 😂 I like how she just tells someone they’re attractive she doesn’t care at all about consequences. Life is too short.
"We have a lot in common. Like soup, talking and not talking." "I am waiting for another message from myself." - Best In Show. "When you are a producer, you have to pay for ridiculous stuff like snacks." - For Your Consideration. Love Jennifer. One of my favorite female actress on the planet.
How does Jennifer not know how much we have all loved her for FOREVER?!?!?! I mean, yeah, now we are seeing even more parts of her...but she has never been part of any movie or TV show that she didn't add the IT factor it needed to be successful. What would 2 Broke Girls have been without her. Funny show, but with Jennifer, it made that show appointment TV for me.
not to sound vulagr but jeremy is so attractive he always has this look of I just made love. its kinda of a messy sexy french relaxed look . its beautiful honestly and his eyes are so intensely gorgeous
As much as I'd love to see Jeremys Character in the Bear grow outside of his expertise and little world he has built for himself - I am not sure he actually needs a love interest. Just like Roy and Jamie on Ted Lasso,- for me at the very core of this story is Cami and Richi who are bound to eachother having lost someone so close to them. Their dynamic and their growth holding eachother up is what I'd like to see more of in Season 2.
Thats crazy to see this. Hearing Jeremy Allen White say essentially, similarly to Jennifer Coolidge, that he didn't think he belongs... cause he is absolutely phenomenal. I hope he can realize how fantastic of an actor he is. How he has really inspired many, and given such a good performance. Cause seeing him.. ugh it's just I love it. I love his work. I want to see him succeed. Him and Ayo, everyone really everyone.
Jennifer is an incredible actress. She is totally underrated. I wish I could work with her. Jeremy is a genius! I like the fact they got together for this interesting conversation.
