They all have believed in God, and His angels, and His scriptures, and His messengers: “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord. To you is the destiny.” .......... ( لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ) God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. To its credit is what it earns, and against it is what it commits. “Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not burden us as You have burdened those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear; and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master, so help us against the disbelieving people.”

Assalamu alaikoum brother. Inshallah soon you will be reading arabic n reciting quran, inshallah. Ask Allah swt to make it easy for you. Ask Allah to provide you with resources, teachers, time, n everything you need. Jennifer, mashallah has been a singer all her life. Shes spent time in Morocco. I believe her husband is Moroccan. Where there is a will, there is a way. I couldn't speak a word of arabic. Ilhumdulilah with the grace of Allah, he sent me teachers, time, n I immersed myself in quranic arabic. Ilhumdulilah, now I've read the quran @ least 65 times in arabic. I always have my English translation nearby. Dont feel bad bc many arabs dont know the meaning of many words in the quran. Just, make a commitment to Allah swt n yourself that you will strive to please him through learning arabic. When he sees your effort, inshallah he will make it easy for you. After learning arabic, I realize that it is an expansive, perfect, easy to learn language. Ilhumdulilah. English has 3-4 words that have the same meaning. Arabic has 20 many more words to say the same thing. Subhan Allah. Just, "thank you" has about 20 ways to say it.this is a site that I found very helpful. I know that you dont know I word in arabic. Just listen to this guy bc hes talking about, "quranic arabic" which is exactly what you want. Please start with lesson 1, pretty soon you'll be recognizing words in the quran, n knowing the meaning, inshallah. For anyone wanting to know what she is reciting in English: 2:285 The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." 2:286- Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." These are the only verses that were not revealed on earth, they were revealed while prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was on the night journey, the night of ascension to a different realm.

I'm on tear when I listened to that. So amassing amazing.

As far i know, she was a singer before she converted to Islam. That vocal exercise for years helped her a lot. What she needed was to learn Arabic and the techniques of Quran recitation. And she did that as well.
