Also, Deborah Cox, Covered the entire I Will Always Love You album, Deborah is so awesome also. She sang all of the songs for one of Whitney 's movie, with Ya Ya Da costa.
Dolly Parton wrote the song but Whitney made it popular. Jennifer Hudson definitely does it justice! Btw, JHud was a contestant on American Idol years ago, but got eliminated when there were still a few singers left. She basically got robbed on Idol. However she later won an Oscar for her role in Dream Girls. I believe she won a Grammy too.
Jennifer Hudson is the 17th EGOT holder in history. She’s won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Toby award. That’s pure talent. John Legend followed it up with his own EGOT too. They represent well.
@angiehorrell1956- Dolly also wrote and sung it. It was popular when Dolly sung it. But Whitney made it even more popular. Its just one of those songs like Who's Loving You written and sung by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Was also sung by Michael Jackson and was popular. Or Dionne Warwick's House Is Not a Home redone by Luther Vandross who made it even more popular. It just goes to show If you take a wondeful song and give it to a powerful singer these are the results.
React to her singing "a change is gonna come" live " Hallelujah" live Kobe Bryant tribute Aretha Franklin "ain't no way" Her most famous song "and I'm telling I'm not going nowhere " Jennifer is a BEAST
I love Dolly’s voice and version of this song. She wrote it so she is the OG. With all due respect, Whitney Houston took this song to another level. And made Dolly a ton of money in the process. Dolly appreciated Whitney so much. Nothing but love between those two.
U missed Whitney reaction to that high note cuz U got up. Lol Whitney was her vocal idol, she always said that even on Idol! Whitney choose her to sing.
