The thing that I find so heartstopping about her delivery in this performance was not only the sheer power and talent of it, but also how much emotion she managed to evoke every time she sings the word "long". It gets stretched out more and more throughout the song, until it reaches that _insane_ stretch at the end of the song, illustrating just how long and hard that wait/struggle being sung about has lasted. The way she sings tells the story more than even the lyrics do. Chills, absolute chills.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I consider Jennifer Hudson one of the last of the greats.
