It's a mystery to me how this didn't chart AT ALL. Jennifer Hudson is so underrated as well as unappreciated. I mean, what do you have to do - win an Oscar? Oh, yeah, she did.

Coming back to this in 2020. Anyone else appreciate how good this video is from a visual/musical storytelling standpoint? How the body language, the blocking, the scenes, he music, the vocals all work together? For instance the shift of the feminine energy of the salon to the masculine energy of the basketball court. The way JHud's voice, dance and body language convey her sexual power. The shoes in the beginning conveying how she got up at the start of the day feeling confident. The balance between brothaman's persistence and her will setting the pace of their interactions.Tho the narrative is deceptively simple, altogether its one of the best put together videos out there. And then, JHud's powerful presence and vocals give it the feel of musical theater. Slept on song and video fo sho

I don't get all the negative criticism. It's a fresh beat, catchy hook, simple choreography, and flawless vocals. Perfect song for summer. I like that JHud is being youthful and hip while flaunting the body she's worked so hard for. We've seen her in gowns singing ballads plenty of times before....

Jennifer is my friend so i guess i might be in my feelings a little bit. Its like she cant satisfy some folks. Its like when she sings people complain and when she waters it down people complain. Lets face it real R&B is dead and does not sell. She can go sing all day long but really who is buying it? There are some of us like myself who love real singers and i would buy it but not the majority. Its a pop filled world and unfortunately this era and generation of kids/people are not ready for Jennifer voice and don't/cant appreciate it. If we could stop supporting the garbage thats out then we can bring real singers and real good soul/R&B back. Just saying

With her voice she can afford to come out with a light weight song (but good one) like this that any no-talented artist today could cover.
