The problem is that they are eating foods that are still high in calories, carbs, sodium, sugar, etc. They need to eat foods that aren’t too high in that stuff/fresh foods (they can still eat what they want, but they need to just stay away from boxed foods), eat proportioned meals every 3 hours, drink plenty of water, and they can get great results from that. In a nutshell, dieting can give them great results, but exercising can increase the results and show results faster than just dieting.
