When Jennifer was talking about Jodie Foster saying that she was a good person, I wonder if Jennifer ever realized that her herself is a good person? I lover Jennifer. Incredible girl.
Yea she didn't go to college but she still makes 100x more money than the interviewer. Even then Jennifer doesn't let it get to her head like the interviewer clearly does with her college comment. That is why I love jennifer lawrence
List of people with film degrees: Kurt Wimmer, Uwe Boll, Paul W.S. Anderson, Roland Emmerich, and Jonathan Liebesman, all considered some of the worst in the business. List of people without film degrees: any influential silent film director, Quentin Tarantino, David Fincher, Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Sam Raimi, Kevin Smith, Steven Soderbergh, Ingmar Bergman, Richard Linklater, David Lynch, Akira Kurosawa, etc., all the most influential/succesful in the business. 'Nuff said.
i saw winter's bone and this girl is what we called the natural, the college comment is just mean, lot's of great actors never went to college, they just follow their calling and perfected the craft. i want to see more from this actress and i became a big fan!
I agree, interviewer was so boring, and I don't like her attitude. this is talented Jennifer Lawrence, common!!! admire her work or don't interview her like this!
Beside the fact I couldn't keep my eyes off of her and laugh at every joke she made or every look she gave and especially when she crunched the ice, I noticed she wore the same dress as the 30mn interview oO If she did both in the same day, I really bow to her :)
OMG shes killing me!! its those eyes, and those luvly blonde locks just flowing dwn the side of her face. And after all that I also agree the Interviewer is annoying. But Jennifer handles her well.
"stacking everywhere.. fortunately I recycle" awesome line. Shows how boring it must be to give interviews. and this is probably one of the less boring ones :)
she just judged her for not going to college...? damn, that awkward. there are media moguls out there that dropped out of college, they found their path and there they go. Same goes to actors, if they aren't regretting their work paths and decisions, then who are we to judge? unless that person chose not to study, to pursue acting but has got zero gift on the art, that'd be stupid, me I sometimes i love music, but I can't sing so i chose another art am good at, drawing.
Well, some people enroll at "The Actors Studio" or film school and study dramas and plays, and recite in plays. But no classroom based training exists to teach acting as far as I know.
Homeschooling goes faster than regular school since there are no vacations to worry about other than major holidays and they can do it during the summer
Why would jennifer go to college? Is going to college going to make her a bigger star? Get better roles? She is like Lebron James. She went straight from high school to the big leagues because she is tremendously talented.
i think she did (as i'am now an obvious J.Law stalker, I sure have seen that one too) I think she did those interviews the same day since she mentioned on the other one that she's sick and got a cold, and here' she keeps on coughing and drinking water... so I guess it's the same day...
even Steve Jobs, Einstein and Bill Gates jumped of the college. and i'm gonna do that to, start a new company. Jennifer did a good choice!! you just need to follow your dreams and have a strong will!! :)
She could be reading all six volumes of The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and I'd watch it. I think it's interesting that the interviewer brought up going to college for anyone who's clearly already successful in the film industry. I studied film for a year, worked at a film festival, met tons of people in the industry and learned that no one cares if you studied it or not. You don't even put your education on any film-related resume. And why would anyone go to university to be an actor?
Okay, the interviewer's comment about Jodie Foster going to college was rude and out of line. I have watched a lot of Jennifer's interviews and she's really funny and intelligent when answering questions. She handles herself with confidence and you don't need a college degree to do that.
Except it probably says worse things if you felt the need to study acting that intensively for 4 years, because that degree means absolutely nothing to anyone. It's one of those things that if you can't do it, you can't do it.
i love jen. hate the interview. idk, it doesn't feel that interesting and the interviewer feels like she's nervous and doesn't know what to say. she keeps skipping around with her words.
