For me, that's a jerk move. If she really didin't want to be dragged in the gossip columns, why tell someone on TV that you kissed a guy when you know that that guy is currently in a relationship.

Meaning during their 1st separation, Liam could have cheated and that could have been the reason for the 1st time they split (likely too based on her song FU). Second separation she explicitly said she didn't cheat but just cause she said cheating wasn't the reason for the (2nd) separation, doesn't mean for sure Liam didn't cheat. Miley could have just not dumped him because of that reason. Although I do believe myself he didn't cheat 2nd time around. I think thry had an open relationship by then. But that part is just speculation.

They do factor in what is on brand for that artist at that time in their career, but that song could have been brought to her as a germ of an idea by one of the producers and then fleshed out to be what it became. It does not necessarily reflect their true suffering, or their true experience. Sometimes a pop song is just a pop song!
No. Not with Miley. Any song she releases always has a purpose and tells a story. She writes/ co writes all of her stuff and the storylines are based off her life. Other pop singers might have writers write their stuff, but not Miley.

The song is beautiful for women who broke hearts over a dishonest affair. Well this is not new anymore, its about women who loves with all their hearts and yet was abused, that she realized she can fill all those that she expected things from men. Like the line in i can buy my own flowers, i can write my name i the sand, i can talk to myself for hours, these are lines that full of heartaches, and then... " i can love myself than you can. Great video, there is nothing like a perfect marriage or relationship, I learnt that in everything there is always a solution, 5 years ago I and my wife divorced because we were having some difficulties in our marriage but we are back together ,it was a really bad phase but we got through it

She wanted to work it out and go for couples counseling but he didn't want to! The actual reason for their divorce is a truth only known to them!
