I think she was really scared of having so much success in so little time. Which is stupid. I hate that people tell actresses not to be so successful because they'll get overexposed and people will hate them and shit. No one will tell that to an actor.
@@linn1607 she wasn’t embarrassed, she has scared because every day people said she would get a huge backlash if she won a 2do Oscar so soon and so young.
Every time I watched American Hustle I wondered if she was given anything more than a paycheck and a pat on the back. That wasn't just a performance. That was a transformation. Good on ya, Jen! Well done.
In fact it was crazy they just asked her if she had free time to do the scenes and she only have 2 weeks to do the role. Thats why she never perfected her accent. But she would if had more time probably nailed it.
I think she should not have won for Silver Lining Playbook (Emmanuelle Riva was the obvious choice), but for Winter's bone and American Hustle she clearly deserved it.
@@nanouklezaf4273 the year she was nominated for winters bone was the year when Nathalie Portman won for black swan so she had no chance because Nathalie gave won the most memorable performance in film history.but i think she was great in winters bone
@@nanouklezaf4273 I disagree, because as a doctor myself, I feel she completely deserved the Oscar for her nuanced and studied portrayal of a Borderline Personality Disorder person in SLP.
No, Lupita wasn't robbed, besides she won the Oscar... Jennifer Lawrence gave an equally brilliant performance that year and she won the BAFTA, some critics awards too...
While this was the height of the reign of J-law, and I loved her in AH, but Lupita should have won it. And with everything that came out years later about the HFPA being #racist, it's not surprising. At least Lupita won the Oscar. And she should have been nominated for Us as well, which was arguably even more impressive.
No. Lupita did nothing but get beat up for 15 minutes of screen time. The effect had nothing to do with acting. But what was fascinating was how people seemed desperate to read meaning into it. A bad Oscar win, but whatever.
Jennifer showed expressive performance and she was good enough in her 15 screen time. Lupita was overrated. I can't nothing special in her performance. Jennifer and Julia were way better than her.
That’s why it’s called supporting role. I personally loved her performance. It was so natural and different from her previous character that what sold me.
