She paved the way for so many women in the entertainment business and doesn't get enough credit for it. She was one of the first women in the industry to be a singer, actress, dancer and business woman (perfumes, clothing line etc. ) She's amazing and the fact she remembers you is really emotional

Um ya that was very very strange...the combo of actresses on there. She was a wee bit out of her league, she is talented though.

I didn’t see anything on there made her come off ‘not humble’. If anything the other actresses were referring to HER how much success she’s had and how much she has been through.

Whats funny is she never actually stole from Black artists. The way you choose to believe everything simply because it’s online is mind boggling. If you had any ounce of critical thinking and ability to research, you’d know those women she “Stole” from have come to her defense many, many times. Ashanti sang background on 2 of Jlos songs, 20 years ago. And what’s funny is if you listen to the acapella versions, Ashanti is barley on the songs with her whispering. And she ad-libbed here and there. But she wrote the Aint It Funny Remix for Jlo and said she was paid for her work. Recently in an interview, Ashanti said she gets huge checks for Aint It Funny every year. She sang at Jlos 50th birthday party & has said many times that Jlo never stole from her. Jlo did something that had been done by artists like Beyoncé, Toni Braxton, Rihanna, Britney Spears, etc. Jlo isn’t the first nor the last. Cristina Milian wrote Play with Jlo in the studio, was paid for her writing work - and even sang on the song as the chorus lead. She said in a recent video that working with Jlo was an amazing experience because of how humble and down to earth she was. Natasha Ramos a background singer for the this is me then, album - said Jlo was amazing to work with and super fun. Who screwed her over was the label when they didn’t properly pay her, not Jlo. Brandi sold her song ‘Step Into My World’ to Jlo for her Rebirth album. Usher sold Get Right to Jlo for that same record. None of that sounds like stealing, just trigger happy stans ready to pounce on Jlo cause they heard a rumor.

what’s funny is that y’all say she stole from black artists when those artists were paid for and credited. maybe if they weren't paid or credited then yeah it would be a different story, but y'all love to go with that story that she "stole" from black artists when in reality those artists are "diomondless" bc y’all never buy their work. The only thing you guys do is take your time to defend those artist by saying that JLO “stole" from them bc it gives your a reason to dislike JLO

That has to do with her team, marketing, and the fact her fan base isn’t strong. Here we have Jlo at career peak #3 people still screaming “AshAnTi”. IT WAS 2 DECADES AGO🤣

I’m disabled and I don’t easily get affected but ‘the greatest showman’ really affected me and I got a chance to meet the songwriters, benj pasek and Justin paul. I cried through it because all I could do was thank them for the movie and especially ‘this is me’ as it so speaks to me as a disabled person. Art is so important.

I was 29 when this happened and I’ve started loving her in my teenage years, when I was bullied by judgemental people (exactly what you’re doing now) and she was my comfort place. Why are you feeling so pressed about it, without even knowing the background? Sometimes people only need a reason to move forward and to be happy, and she remembered my sign even 10 years later because it was pure. Try to be a better person, because you might never know what people are going through and kindness literally costs 0 effort.
