Honestly her answer was calculated and very late and rather detached. I understand everyone being different on their opinions with it. Whether she was for sea queen or not or whatever. When it initially started everything was fine she and Lana were friends literally everything was good, BUT Jen honestly could’ve done better years before she’s been an actress and I think what really hurt a lot of people was her dismissiveness about it after Hook came along. No one was being aggressive about wanting swan queen we were upset by how careless and neglectful she got. She legit started running the captain swan ship like her life depended on it and straight up got uncomfortable when anything swanqueen related came up. And it’s not as if any of the questions were out of pocket. They were questions you’d expect to be asked and she basically flanked… Lana never focused solely on one part of any of the fandoms she was in she respected all straight across the board. She was on board and ready. And I feel like Jen and the attempt four years ago now to reconcile her bad reactions by trying to immerse herself in something lgbt was an afterthought to her carelessness
What? She was just for he character being with Hook like it’s not that deep that she didn’t agree with a fan fiction inspired from the show! I don’t think she owes the LGBT community anything from that. I also think this was a genuine response Jen cares for her fans
@@dannyt3522 if you’ve watched all the interviews and been there you’d know she made a complete 180 it wasn’t the fanfiction because Jen knew about it from it started. She was literally fine until they introduced Hook and she used it as a way out. She’s never answered anything straight out. It’s always a round the mulberry bush answer simply because she stated you can’t make everyone happy. It was obvious she DIDNT want swanqueen to be a thing and that created a huge rift because she could’ve just said and moved on. People were hurt because of how she started acting almost as if she was disgusted. Any time she was asked about SQ after the introduction of Hook she’d brush it off and gloss over it or immediately friendzone it like it made her uncomfortable

@@dannyt3522 she owes us (the LGBTQ+ community) nothing. The obsessive SQ fans literally ruined everything by sending Jen and the writers/producers death threats just because they were butthurt they didn't get their way once Hook was revealed as Emma's love interest. They also took it too far when they decided to start shipping Lana and Jen together outside of their characters. Lana and Jen aren't friends because of this. At least not publicly that we know of.

I could give less of a damn about them not ending up together but she was disrespectful flippant and complacent and if we are talking about death threats go look at all the captain swan shippers and all the other people who were toxic and negative. The entire fandom of once is a wreck. We’re well past fan accountability. As an actress she still made it very obvious it literally was all for whatever needed to feed and fuel the show for more views. Because she clung to Colin like a life raft the second captain swan was introduced and other people outside of who shipped her with Lana saw that it was overly done and bordered on discomfort. Bite my ass on this one. I’m more than happy they didn’t end up together because her representative nature was shit.
