What a great class. I am “Tom”. Got a degree in Jazz performance from USC in 1990, and got sidetracked by a war in the Middle East. Never made it back to LA, and as I start to contemplate retiring I find myself staring at my horns in the corner of my office. Thanks for giving such an energetic and informative master class… and posting it here. Inspiring. 👍✅❤️

Wow, those long tones blew me away. I couldn't stop creating all kinds of inventions around that drone sound, loved it immensely. At 3:30am it's no time to pick up my trumpet but I'll be back tomorrow and see if I get the same effect and improvise around that sound.
