Marie Bösch every Mardi Gras has a reigning King and Queen and they have an entire court...prince/ess, duke/duchesses etc...we throw balls and although these parties, gatherings, feasts and celebrations go on throughout the entire year, the grand finale is Mardi Gras...after that we fast (behave ourselves lol) until Easter and then we begin all over again:)
