My brother ended up bailing out of the lesson saying he's not talented enough to learn piano while i stayed even tho i don't really like the lesson. The lessons were stopped after a while and i understood nothing and has forgotten all the lesson Note: it's not like i dislike piano. Piano is a beautiful instrument and i actually wanted to learn piano again after all this time but back then, i just didn't like that particular lesson. It felt like i was mindlessly told to play songs my teacher wanted me to without understanding how things work.

I can relate with the punishment regarding grades. In Malaysia, perhaps 80' and 90' generations can relate to it. 80' maybe even harsher. But for me, I got smacked on my ball fingers (Idk how to explain this, hahaha) by the duster. It's was the transition between using chalk to whiteboard marker. Yet, yes. It scared the out of me and my friend for making mistakes in this particular subject. And, the teacher smacked the duster on the fingers you write with. Pheww.. I thought that makes Jeonghan witty (and some 90's generations) as the result of education system. Funny for sometime, but can left trauma to someone childhood if they were not able to take it.

Staying asleep if robbed is effective though. When I was still an infant, my parents forgot to close the backdoor and my mom's wedding ring was robbed in broad daylight. I was left to sleep in our bedroom where the wedding ring was and didn't cry so no one was alarmed. My parents told me that if I had cried, the robber might have kidnapped me instead. The bad thing about my sleep now is that even in a state of emergency like typhoons, I won't wake up until forced to.
