I was born at 24 weeks early and I inherited 12 genetic diseases. Sounds impossible right?? Well it isn't and let me just say some people are a curse. I went to the 88.3 the wind radio station in Springfield Missouri where I grew up and they cursed me with 10 to 12 genetic diseases at once. Soil may dry, you might not see the seed sprouting...but underneath the earth, shell is peeling, roots developing, things happen at God's pace and timing... Your dad is God's son, too. He may pretend not to hear from his dad, may plug his ears and hum... but Dad never lets go of us. I add my prayers to yours, that Holy Spirit brings peace to your relationship, develops the cocoon for your father to transform in... and one day you see him emerge Changed and Light filled and anew Creation of love and joy. Sending hugs. WE look for signs in our time, and the way we wish it to be... But God only knows what it will take to heal his heart, ease the infection of anger, hurt and disappointment. With man, it may seem impossible...but it does not happen by mighty muscles or strong will - only by the grace of his Spirit...with God all things can be done...winks. So continue to hope and pray and love and let Holy Spirit use your words, your actions to shine love and let God have his way - for his will is that none shall perish, that all will come to the saving knowledge... time in God's hands. If you haven't seen the Overcomer movie by the Kendrick brothers or their Fireproof, War Room or Courageous movies they are all inspiring about not letting the devil destroy your covenant marriage. I am 38 years married, though my husband divorced me 11 years ago. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. And we are members of his body. As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:28‭-‬33
