I genuinely love the Excellent. Needs a bit of work, but what a spectacular marriage of strength and elegance. Also I love how in-universe, Hammond and May are capable of hearing the voice over in real time.
@@TheSudsy Yeah, i don't know the real story behind it, but i assumed it just didn't meet the reserve and would not be sold, they could have the auctioneer say the line that it was sold for jokes, or, yeah, it was all scripted.

@@JuniperJennifer666 also they ran out of good ideas.. in the latest top gear years the quality already went down, with only a few original items per season and lots of recycled ideas. imho the grand tour was not getting any better, I saw a few good items, but not enough to keep going.
I think it's a great idea, if done properly and built from scratch. It actually looks pretty good. Much better than the so-called coupe-suvs we have now.
I would honestly love to own that car. Looks fun as hell to drive and I could not care less about fancy accessories like "heating" and a "functional speedometer".

There was a flash game back in the mid or late 2000’s called Car Town, which had real-life cars (not sure if properly licensed, as it did very abruptly shut down), and you could fit monster truck wheels onto any of the cars in the game. This looks like one of those Car Town cars brought to life. Lovely.
Im not really a car lover, I just have a car but top gear was a great show because of the pure chemistry. In the essence of classic British comedy to take one out the equation and substitute for another simply wouldn't work.
