Sometimes his genius, it’s almost frightening. Some say, it generates gravity, and that if you listen very carefully you can hear his genius because it knows no bounds.
There's Clarkson, and then there's Mr. Bean. If you don't know the man behind him yet, his role in Johnny English has him driving one of his own car, the Vantage V8, once crashed a McLaren F1, and recently sold a Lexus LFA. Not to mention he's featured in F1's pitlane once in 2013. He's THE man.
Unlike other celebrities, he actually pays attention to the sport not just as an event, but what's going on with the teams, the drivers and the cars. He damn well knows his stuff.
Clarkson is right, Vettel came 3rd in Turkey when he was mostly finishing out the points that year. Thing is Piastri would have won but McLaren screwed him over by not stacking him ahead of Norris.
I think Oscar shouldn't have challenged lando and got so close to him, if he held back a bit they would've stacked as they wouldn't have lost as much time doing so (theoretically)
If they had put norris on mediums, we would not be talking about piastri winning this. They mishandled piastri, but they also screwed norris with the info that softs would make him race for the win
It is hard to believe that Hamilton is now one of the old boys, almost like it was just yesterday that he was the youngest on the grid over taking Alonso on the outside in Australia
I know Clarkson has run his mouth a LOT so people don't like him, but the guy knows his driving stuff, and is clearly a true fan. Brundle clearly doesn't like him either but it seems like he might be clueing in on the fact that Clarkson keeps showing himself to be one of the more insightful people he finds on these grid walks.
In a parallel universe, Clarkson ended up joining Brundle for the F1 commentary when it went to the BBC in the early 2010's. Martin, who knows what he's talking about as a former driver and Jeremy, who like us has been watching the sport for years and isn't afraid to say what he see's. Could have been glorious.
He's right, one of the old boys won, sadly Alonso's car is just too shit to even have a sniff though he did bring the fight to Hulk during the transition period
He Was Right,Shame They Still Dont Know about A Gear Stick and Clutch Pedal Though,Then i Would Rate Them as a Racing Driver,But Not Just Pressing Buttons on a Steering Wheel Thats Just For Kids.
