been watching him for years, he was always a great dribbler, but he reached a totally new level with City, at Rennes, and with the national team he used to dribble a lot, and then shoot the ball absolutely nowhere, usually out of the field, or to an opposing player, he didn't seem capable of dribbling while keeping situational awareness, City has done some magic in training, amazing !!
If you haven't heard of Doku yet, you have a serious problem. He's been a professional for 5 years. For your information and so as not to die stupid, Duranville Julien is another phenomenon from Anderlecht who is as good as Jeremy.😂
@@nitraM321How can u talk about him and his capacities without mentionning his many injuries and the poor level of France championship physic preparators ??
It's not normal for a young fast dribbling winger to have as good decision-making and pass accuracy as Doku does. Only injury can hold him back. His attitude seems great.
@@akiraaoiichigo I agree. even his first touch wasn't always great but in the blink of an eye , his decision making has improve at crazy levels and his first touch and passing accuracy as well. He never had above 86% pass accuracy. Yesterday he had 95% . For someone who dribbles a lot has 5/5 dribbles completed to have that high % of ball retention that's almost alien man. The potential of this kid is very scary.
@@harryjones8683 I didn't say he didn't create chance. He holds the ball too long sometimes when unnecessary and it sounds like comprehension is not your strong point
As a City fan I can't hardly believe my eyes. What a player we got. We need to be careful with him, if we're lucky we have a potential world class player at our hand. He is deadly 💙
I find myself tuning into City’s matches just to see this guy play. Absolute gem of a player. Him being almost as good as Vini in his first season here is nuts
I heard of this guy when he was one of the wonderkids in FM20. I bought him to Man City at that time. Can't believe he is really here at Man City irl. 😭
This kid joins a legendary Man City team on the back of a Treble and premier league three-peat and says fu** ya'll, give me the ball, it's my show now. Even Pep in post-match conferences has said he's shocked how quickly Doku has adapted and his decision making wasn't expected. You can tell from those passes that he has the vision, his passing is really good (range, accuracy, in movement, stationary). If he starts scoring goals, especially when he cuts inside and has clear sighters, he's going to be the shorter, more powerful incarnate of Sadio Mane. I am also hoping he starts showing this same threat on the right wing, because Grealish will likely start the big games (for good reason), so it would be nice to see Doku on the right sometimes.
Hes such a good signing for city. They are more known for slower running passers of the ball like benardo and grealish. But if its not working they can just unleash this beast instead. His pace can really open up the wide areas and stretch teams and give city another option to use in their arsenal. Incredible player for an incredible team.
naaaaah every Football Fan knew Doku for 2-3 years and Gündogan played Cl final and dominated the league with dortmund what are u talking about@@TylerXedits21
That's my sentiment on him too, he's really a strong Ballon d'Or contender, he may steal it next year if he mantain his incredible form and improve on his shooting skills
I remember the first time I saw him play was against Italy in the euro 2020 when I saw him I was like bro how does this dude not play in a world class team but I remember even one of the commentators saying that Kylian Mbappe spoke hella high of him and said he wishes he had the speed he has if I wasn’t mistaken. He’s a hell of a player.
Doku reminds me of prime Christian Atsu🕊 may his soul Rest In Peace.❤ He’s got quick feet and he has speed. Dribbles good and currently the second epl player with the most dribbles just behind kudus who is the first.. Ghana 🇬🇭 has great talents and it beautiful to see all these young stars doing great out there
He is a wonderful players and very talented. For people that say he can't get past some team's defence, just remember this is his debut season in EPL. Once he gets better under Pep he will surely be deadly.
What a player doku seems to be. Abit of St maximin in his play but with better decision makeing. His getting better every game.p.s. Bruno fernandes is one dirty player.
Doku might become the best player in the world. He is coming. He is at City he is playing with the best players in the world with the best coach pep at the highest level in the world. I think in 2 years he will be considered at least like top 5 itw.
He makes defenders look like they're standing still when he runs passed them. As a belgian, i've known about this kid for a while! Only thing he was lacking was his end product of getting goals and assists. Im glad he finally found where the goal is located.
Is a young lad and so no criticism, but his final ball sometimes is lacking and he seems more intent on embarrassing the defender than playing the best option. He’s in the right place to learn though and every city fan is excited by this lads talent. Even better is that very soon he will be playing with KDB!
hes actually very similar to young sterling, if he develops sterlings movement under pep, and ball striking he could easily challenge to be top 3 in his position
To be honest, there is still work to do on him. He is a great player but often he looses himself when on the ball, even his co-players tend to stand still cuz they don't know where the pass will go/what's going to happen next, they have no clue. Those conflict players are also prone to injuries ( see E.Hazard fi.) .
@@ralliedcookies4403I am a Chelsea fan, but Jeremy Doku is an amazing gifted player. Doku reminds me of Eden Hazard, only faster. High-level dribbling skills. For such players, fans go to the stadium. 50 million pounds is a steal. He's only 21 and he's going to become better. Scary thought.
@@luisurquilla6827 you idiot I said he has the Dinho vibe when he plays bozo I didn’t say he was at his level, where did I say he was as good as Dinho?
He's a complete player with all skills and attributes plus one more thing that makes him even more dangerous he's two footed with total control in both legs
The best player at cutting in from the wing since Robben. You know what there going to do but you cant stop it. Only way is to foul or double up. If 1 on 1 most likely result in Doku crossing/passing the ball into the box or 1 v 2 creates space for the rest of City's 10 which Pep is all about! Unreal addition, and one of the most exciting players I've seen in the EPL for a very long time. Unstoppable.
No hard feelings towards Grealish at all but this man is different gravy I tell you. So electric and mercurial, it adds a new dynamism to City's already stacked team!
