This man has everything, sex appeal, intelligence, a voice like God, the most beautiful hands, and an excellent body for his age.

This is barely a rant. This is just Irons reflecting on how he feels about tech.

He makes some very valid points. What struck a chord with me is when he spoke about us needing to design lives that are slower. 😌

I totally get his point. We still need to evolve to a post-technology place where it can exist in our world without running our lives, or without us letting it do so. I've tried things like social media in the past and I've always left it behind after a time or not used it as much as others because it's never sat well with me. I always feel much more comfortable being in nature, outside, and interacting with people in real life and in real time. The Internet can be a tool to assist in that connection with human beings, but nothing beats actually being with another person, it's a different thing entirely. So is going to a shop to buy something as opposed to browsing online, etc. We can use technology, but we can't let it be the only way we interact with the world.

He's always a great interviewee, Jeremy Irons. Very thoughtful and sensitive to the philosophy behind the world's changes. Love listening to him speak. :)

I think his message was lost on some people, and the reporter. He speaks of a more genuine world, but some of his examples wasn't very good.

The 2008 financial crisis was not caused by bankers "going too fast" without understanding what they were doing. They knew exactly what they were doing. They are criminals who should be in prison.

Love Jeremy Irons his voice is like Velvet. He could talk about drying paint and I would be spellbound. A hugely under rated actor.

The reporter is absolutely lost and oblivious to anything he is saying. Just humming and looking on with ignorance. What a wasted interview opportunity.

History is very short and it’s getting shorter. We are coming to a tipping point where now we are coming to realisation that we need to design lives which are slower , design lives where we have time to sit and reflect and have conversations face to face.

she has absolutely no clue or perhaps interest in what Jeremy is saying, and it's probably one of the most honest and profound expressions of his opinions he could give.

The sad thing is, if governments were to introduce a wealth tax to try and redistribute to the lower end of society, Jeremy and all the rich folks would transfer as much of their wealth as possible to offshore accounts somewhere. The entire system is broken.
