I don't think the sound system was the issue. It's the microphone on the camera used to record this performance that was unable to capture the full dynamic range of the singing.
OMG I was just about to say that. Cell Block Tango with Jeremy Jordan Jonathon Groff Aaron Tveit Daveed Diggs or Jordan Fisher or Anthony Ramos (can't decide) Mike Faist Jay Armstrong Johnson
Aaron Tveit would be the weakest singer of the 3. I'd rather see a duet between Jonathan Groff and his ex-lover, Gavin Creel. At least he'd be singing with a Tony & Laurence Olivier best actor winner with Gavin.
if only Aaron Tveit was here than my dream trio would be complete, if they would sing toghter it wil be even more awsome!! :D but still this is a amazing enchaunted duo!!
Just as in Glee, when someone is in the middle of the song Jonathan shows ups and jumps in the middle. In Glee it was always with Rachel in the auditorium, here it is with Jeremy on stage.. I LOVE both of these guys!
After this, even though it’s not my favorite show, I want nothing more than to see them sing as the princes from Into The Woods. Idk why, I just need that in my life
God, Jonathan Groff is so talented. He's such an awesome actor. As he sang "it's all for the taking," something changes in his eyes. It's like he wants to actually take it. I love how he acts out this song instead of just singing it. Love him!
For everyone complaining about the mics, it’s not their mics - it’s that whoever recorded this used a subpar camera and used the onboard mic. An actual professional camera and a feed from the audio engineer would solve the issue. Trust me, this is what I do for a living.
Fade in on a girl With a hunger for fame And a face and a name to remember. The past fades away Because as of this day Norma Jean's gone, She's moving on. Her smile and your fantasies Play a duet That will make you forget Where you are. The music starts playing It's the beat of her heart saying, "Let me be your star." Flash back to a girl With a song in her heart As she's waiting to start the adventure. The fire and drive That make dreams come alive, They fill her soul. She's in control. The drama, the laughter, The tears just like pearls. Well, they're all in this girl's repertoire. It's all for the taking, And it's magic we'll be making. Let me be your star. I'll just have to forget the hurt that came before, Forget what used to be. The past is on the cutting room floor, The future is here with me. Choose me! Fade up on a star With it all in her sights All the love and the lights That surround her. Someday she’ll think twice Of the dues and the price She’ll have to pay She’ll have to pay But not today But not today Then she’ll do all she can For the love of one man And for millions who look from afar. And what you’ve been needing Is all here and my heart’s bleeding. Let me be your star!
***** that's a very end-of-the-road point of view you have there. Things could spontaneously change, you can never really know, only time will tell :o)
