Well, there's kind of a lot wrong with that, imho. So many tv and movie stars either came from the theater, or continue to do both tv/movies and theater, unbeknownst to many, many people. Just off the top of my head; Raul Esparza, Sutton Foster, Bernadette Peters, Jerry Ohrbach, Jonathon Groff, Billy Crudup (all Broadway royalty, and for anyone who STILL thinks Patti Lu Pone is just an actress, you really need to get out more) Tituss Burgess, Christina Hendricks, Neil Patrick Harris, Tonya Pinkins, and on and on.
Tbh I found out who Jeremy was though Supergirl but then I watched Newsies and other videos of him singing and realized how unbelievably talented and amazing he is
Supergirl is how I was introduced to him as an actor a few years ago. I didn't know he could sing (haven't watched all of Supergirl yet) until I saw the video of him in the workshop for The Greatist Showman singing for Hugh Jackman. I am a fan of Glee also. So I already knew Melissa Benoist could sing. With this song though I like his version better than Lea Michelle's.
What is most enjoyable is that Mr. Jordan takes an iconic - everybody wants a shot at this song - number and absolutely owns it...it’s HIS number...nods to the original, but there’s no mistaking who the Grand Marshall of the Parade is...
Is Jeremy Jordan a god of musical theater? Yes. Was I really asking for someone's opinion? No. Why? Because Jeremy Jordan IS a musical theatre god and nobody can change my mind. I rest my case, thank you very much
Jordan Chavez I believe what he's talking about is Jeremy's role in The Last Five Years, in which he plays a character named Jamie. Good movie, i recommend giving it a watch if you haven't seen it
WOW. A lot of times in Miscast there are a few tiny mistakes, because I guess these are all busy people and don't have a lot of times to prepare, but this is literally flawless!!! Like he was meant for this song!
the way he sings. everything about it, his eyes, his smile, his voice. was God just wanting one person for everyone to fall in love with? Forever? I mean it might be just me:)
Wow, Jeremy is just brilliant on so many levels!!! This is an incredible arrangement perfect to show off his vocal chops, but his nuances ramps up his performance. Bravo!!!
WOOOOW 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Don't rain on my parade is a very difficult song to sing and Jeremy Jordan pulled it off 101%. I love watching his solo performances. He is immensely gifted. Bravo!
They seriously hired this man for a three season show and only gave him TWO DUETS AND ONE SOLO IN THE ENTIRE THING?! (And yet he still managed to make Ready as I'll Ever Be the most popular song from the entire show) (Also do yourselves a favor and give him a listen as Light Yagami in the Death Note musical. He makes your hair stand on end)
@@kjump4902 Right off the cuff too. Like he opens his mouth for the first two lines of Hurricane and I was like SIR?! "Did this really happen? Did I hear correctly? Was it simply done by writing out his name? Killing indirectly, pen and ink and paper, writing is the gun I only have to aim..." I wish there was some way of putting his Light/Kira with Xia Junsu's L. I'd have an actual stroke
