Jeremy Lin nearly comes up with double double in his first game as the lone star of the Santa Cruz Warriors. He scored 9 points, had 9 assists, and grabbed 3 rebounds.
@@ghoodbhabie2558 If not intended for funny, then you were not even accurate. He's over 40% in his 3s in a team on a 9 game winning streak. Well, you are so racist, you even bothered to come over here and said some stupid s*** Well, at least people still care, lol. Kudos to you for that.
For those that haven't heard - The Golden State Warriors have recalled Nico Mannion and Jordan Poole, leaving Jeremy Lin as the main perimeter scorer. Lin will likely have a bigger role to play in the upcoming playoffs for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
@@controversialmann5345 That's not how it works. Mannion and Poole are signed on 2-way contracts with the Warriors, whereas Lin is not currently signed to an NBA team. In order for Lin to move to an NBA team, one of them will have to offer him some kind of contract, and the whole point of Lin being in the G-League is to play well enough that a team (probably not the Warriors due to their current roster situation) decides to bring him on.
Yup you are right. He misses most, he was 2-9 fg and 1-4 3pt, also his TO are way too much. At least 5 TO most of the game. Coaches don’t want their bench to make this much of TO. And he is inconsistent on his 3pt ability. His comeback is a doubt but i wish he ups his play because i wanna see him in the NBA.
Really appreciate the high and low lights! Great to see the full picture without having to watch an entire g league game. I’ve seen some accounts, especially in soccer, use “all touches by (blank)” which helps take the negative connotation out that seems to be bugging some folks here.
Nice video, always appreciate your work. But if you have time, do you consider to put Lin’s D in the highlight as well? I feel like that’ll show the more complete picture of his play style as a traditional PG.
Jeremy has been healthy for a whole season in CBA so they shouldn't make it as an excuse. Aside from making an investment in young players Poole and Nico, they should sign Lin for the fact that Curry needs help now while he's in his prime.
I'm already done with the NBA thanks to all those non-calls and rule changes where you can't even breath on them while you on defense. I might as well go watch a pick up game.
He also turned the ball over and missed a couple of easy open shots. He's a good player, at times a very good player but he has trouble with consistency. Always has really. Nico and Jordan Poole are simply younger, more explosive players. They both simply have more upside. Lin at this point would be a nice piece of a strong ensemble cast IF he's playing his best ball.
Racist attitude of the collective NBA. Lin has to do twice as much to even get a look in compared to what non Asian players do to get the call. Symbolic of America overall highlighted in this ecosystem the NBA.
Well his signing right wasn’t released until after the training camp signing deadline. Dubs simply don’t have a contract with him now while they have two-way contracts with Nico and Poole so it’s much easier to bring them along rather than signing a new contract with JLin.
teams need point guards to pace the team properly. curry can't do it all season. he'll get drained once the playoffs start if they make it. they need a true solid point guard with decent 2 level scoring. JLin fits the bill. there are tons of catch and shoot players there but can't drive to the basket consistently and cannot create for others. you need playmakers coz actual scoring is easy. to create the necessary plays to score is the most important nowadays especially in the playoffs. and his not definitely ball dominant like Westbrook, harden or lebron. he's efficient with the time clock
I love Jeremy Lin, but he can definitely do better. We all know Jeremy Lin can do better. Jeremy Lin needs to step up his game even more to catch others attention otherwise he might not even have a chance. It’s a tough world we live in where there is racial discrimination and that’s why I’m saying that Jeremy Lin wasn’t doing so well in that game. He needs to play way better in order for him to get into the golden state warriors. We need the linsanity energy that he had before. I wish Jeremy the best for him and I really do hope that he gets into the Golden State Warriors. He’s my inspiration and I want him to succeed in his dreams like how he inspired me to succeed in mine.
Lin is tryna play as an old-school, pass-first PG ala John Stockton, something that is a rare breed in the NBA now. I could think of a few contenders that would benefit from a facilitator to control the flow of the team, the Bucks being one.
As an Asian American I can relate to Jeremy Lin. But with that being said I have to thoroughly review his circumstances and also access his talent. The NBA is all about their brand. They have always had a massive fan base. The talents have gotten deeper and I think Jeremy lin is a A-leaguer , numbers don't lie! I'm no way being biased at all, I'm just being fair!
Lin needs to stop picking up his dribble and just holding the ball - he should only pick up his dribble when he's going to pass or shoot. No cross-court passes. Needs to learn how to properly shoot a pull-up jumper.
1:00 horrible shot attempt by Lin. Should have gotten benched. 1:42 the Old Lin would have took the baseline. The fact that he didn't mean he lost all his explosiveness. You are seeing Old man Lin here already at 32. 2:36 Turnover because his pass isn't a speeding bullet. It's also more like no one fears Lin's driving game... even at the G league.
Where can Jeremy go play after G-League is over next week? Golden State does not want to take the $3 million luxury tax hit to promote him when they already have Jordan Poole and Nico Mannon back up Steph Curry.
I think it is better for Jeremy Lin to play for a team that fits his game well and do not rely very heavily on 3 point shooting. He can excel on a team with a coach that is old school like Gregg Poppovich. I am saying that because Gregg Poppovich is old school and he doesn't really like that the game has evolved to be heavily relied on 3 point shooting. Since 3 point shooting is not Jeremy Lin's strength, he would do far better on a team that doesn't put a huge focus of taking and making a lot of 3 pointers. That being said, I am not sure if Golden State Warriors is the right team for him because he would need to be a prolific 3 point shooter unless Steve Kerr is ok with him playing a Shaun Livingston role. Well I hope Jeremy Lin gets pick up soon by an NBA team. It doesn't have to be the Warriors. But I hope the Warriors sign him because at least he already has good chemistry with Nico Mannion and Jordan Poole in the G-league.
Lin always have to be scrutinized more than average players. Low lights? Over these years..still not enough of those unnecessary spotlights that won't be happening to normal NBA players...tgses lowlights thing just awfull idea to my perspective
seeing the lowlights will help you see why teams are not signing him to a contract. if all you see is the good parts, you'll think he didn't miss any shots or throw any turnovers.
@@zedzed5276 suggest you to watch other NBA players and then you will find same phrase you are using can be applied to 80%of them. I m not saying Lin without weakness..his weakness had been enlarged and justified as reasons no team wants him..where the others worse than him players are not subjected to the same level of scrutiny. So we are on two entire different topics
He had his chance and he wasn't good enough and still is not on that level. He has declined over time and is barely a standout in a lesser league. Luck dude to have gone so far with mediocre skill and athleticism
Three turnovers, including a horribly ill-advised slow cross-court pass, and some makeable missed shots. THIS is the inconsistency NBA scouts see with him. Lin's lost a step and at this point is a marginal NBA athlete in terms of speed and explosiveness, near the bottom for a 6'3" point guard. His value at this point comes from his experience, shot selection and steadiness. If he can't show that night after night, he can put up gaudy numbers against indifferent G league competition and still get passed over. Yes, Lin's experienced racism throughout his career at every level, from NBA execs, coaches, teammates, opponents and officials and that's hampered his career. But let's be honest about his limitations as well.
His athleticism has looked better after coming back from his back injury. His time in CBA, he was even more athletic than he was in the past two games.
