Only to the Asian boys. For some odd reason black and white people don't like Asian people playing basketball, they will go as far as "go back to your math class" when we play
@@rehn4529no Melo ruined it… it’s been confirmed that he went to the front office and complained that he didn’t like all the attention Jeremy Lin was getting 🤦🏾♂️
The crazy part is that the Coach didn't had any vision 😞 Lin should have stayed in New York but the coach sucks. If you're a coach and a player play like that and is help the team get wins you keep the player not get rid of him 😾 that coach sucks
At the time he was pretty much one of the few Asians, if not the only Asian, in the NBA. They didn’t know what to do with him. He brought attention to the team, but was he good enough to consistently carry the team? Probably not. He wasn’t putting up star numbers all the time. So he was an NBA guard that had his moments. He’ll be seen as a pioneer one day in the future.
His problem was he needed to play a street ball style and couldn’t run an NBA offense. He was at his best when they just let him cook. Should have been a Manu type player off the bench for quick scoring
Always appreciated Lin dude was rlly cooking for us until they got rid of him bc melo wasn’t injured anymore 🤦🏽♂️ could have had two scorers lin could’ve developed more he could’ve been a Jalen Brunson for our team at that time
Bryant told Carmelo he should either take back the team or let Lin have it. Melo threw Ljn under the bus and the coward owner went along.. New York lost a very good team that was exciting to attend for melo ball
Its funny how people hear this and are still ignorant of how the business if the NBA uses, abuses, and robs players who put the team and game before their own ego. Bottom line. If Lin has let his ego be bigger than the team or the NBA he could've been huge just like D Rose. Merry Christmas and kiss my ass NBA "We're gonna use you tonight, don't do too much"
Nah Melo ruined this man’s career and I’ll never forget it. They hated how much attention Jeremy Lin received and he got booted out the league for putting in work. For that, I’ll never respect Melo.
And that was how Linsanity was born, because Jeremy did not want to get cut again, after being cut twice before, on the last day of his 10-day contract. So he showed his basketball skills that no one knew he had except for those that watched him during his highschool, university & NBA minor league playing games. 07/27/24
Melo not only ended Linsanity but people forget, the first half of that season, Amare was a legit MVP contender, he then gets hurt for a little while and Melo comes in. After Melo, Amare wasn't the same contender type player. Mf was responsible for ending both Lin's run and Amare's amazing run that season.
Believe it or not, this happens a lot in pro sports.. this is how they try to control the narrative.. and if you think about it, this happens in life.. lesson is if you put in the hard work, you need to be selfish and show for it 💯
once in a while we see that in sports that was pure luck not skill it did not last long imagine he would run a team that would be afwul and exposes the good from the bad
What people really don’t want to say is that he was only popular for being Asian…black players on 10 days do this all the time…Heat players do this every year and don’t get that respect and fame
Still remember 10 year old me after rec league basketball practice watching this game while having dinner i was furious but bro was engraved in my brain after that game
I get everything he said but it lasted like 8 games. After that he was no where near that level again. Even after he went to Houston he wasn’t that level during those games. If he had it in him he would have been it. I think he was talented but defenses learned him. In todays game I would bet he’d be a lot better
