Jeremy Paxman interviews Boris Johnson at the Conservative Party Conference during Newsnight on BBC 2, October 4th 2011. Stick with it - it gets more and more bonkers! The funniest piece of television I've seen for a long time!
Paxo: "What's the difference between you and David Cameron?" Bojo: "Well, I'm the mayor of London and he's prime minister and what else, I'm older than him! I'm considerably heavier. erm what else. I beat him at tenis the other day, though I think he's probably better at tennis than I am..."
@@user-sf7kl9uh7k Less incompetent than Sunak and I suspect Starmer for sure. I mean he doesn't know what he wants, he changes with the wind, an that's even before he becomes PM.
@@user-sf7kl9uh7k Do we... Also since Sunak the Country is in a no better position, it's actually worse. Nothing has improved. And I'd bet that Starmer won't improve anything of note either.
@@user-sf7kl9uh7k Also it's funny how you appear to be searching for Boris stuff to watch. This vid is 3 years old. People can't help but listen to Boris like him or not. That's a start for a leader. As an MP if you can't get anyone to listen, you're on a loser straight away.
Just wonderful. The bit towards the end when Paxman asks Johnson if he feels intellectually inferior to Cameron given Cameron got a first.... pure gold and very funny to see Paxman cracking up at Johnson's response. Surely this must be one of Paxman's favourite interviews!
Paxman was completely sussed on Johnson - it always was a stepping stone in the back of his mind for something else, and something even bigger, and in particular PM. He asked all the right questions. It was as obvious at the time as it is today or in the future for those looking back on this with hindsight.
Boris method: just keep talking until you come out with a coherent half-sentence, talk over interviewer, throw in a tenuous joke or classical reference, keep smirking, hope for the best, what jolly fun. Hope no-one analyses what I say or do too closely. Ten years on, still working.
I've been looking for ages for the video clip where Boris says "correctamundo" but I still haven't found it. I was hoping this was it. This was still pretty funny though. He's such a buffoon.
Those two have had a good few too many before going on air. This is brilliant. Only thing that's missing is a bar and a dartboard in the background and some old guy pishing himself.
😄😄😄The best these 2! I miss Jeremy Paxman! Never watched Newsnight since he left and from what I gather it is now a gutter busting left wing political show.
Haha Boris... I love him because he's such a typical old fashioned babbling fool sometimes. It's like an interview with a school-kid. AND I love the looks on Paxman's face. He's such a good interviewer. That said, Boris does have some good ideas, particularly surrounding the transport systems in London. Bikes all the way old boy.
As a liberal living in the US, I'm really jealous. Like him or not, Boris Johnson is a serious person who can make a coherent argument and doesn't talk like his audience has a fourth grade education. Can't say the same for the right wing politicians here.
Its not about the person the failed polies in the far right conservatives must change asap or its the end. They need to increase disability payments, health and social care, elderly care, give the bottom 15% a 5% payrise, and let the disabled contribute towards a pension like everyone elese in the workforce.
I think there is a very good chance that Bojo will become PM one day. He has a positive vision for the country compared to that Corbyn fellow who ‘s so negative.
@@garyt.8745 Hitler and Covid had nothing to do with either events I guess, according to your twisted logic, that’s the way most trendy lefties have been brainwashed.
Boris Johnson is so good as a politician and it is a shame people think he’s no better than Trump - a huge insult given Trump can’t hold a candle to him.
