It’s like hiking in the woods and realizing it’s about to get dark. So you turn around, and you just stand there like in Blair Witch. It is a bit eerie, but the music is helping!
Bro, i was out camping in the rain the other night, really struggling to sleep due to the heavy drumming of water on the tent. The only thing keeping me sane was listening to this
You're right 😊 (...Looping foliage is incredibly hard. Crossfading it is nearly impossible, and even when doing successfully 'reversals' looks incredibly weird and jarring sometimes, because it's unnatural, and even that becomes impossible if there happens to be water, such as rivers or rain, and even clouds and time-lapses-but yes, very good eye!)
@@Geytkeypuri can imagine the difficulty! great video by the way :) me and my girlfriend smoked one night and were just staring at it on the tv for like 30mins and i suddenly noticed haha
Among all the beautiful soundtracks I had the chance to listen in this life this is the one that really takes me to another world, made of peace and tranquillity
I think all the views are mine. I don’t think a single night has gone by since this video was posted that I haven’t listened to this to help me sleep. Like.. everyyyy night. It’s my favorite. Thank you thank you thank you.
Really love this slower, lower pitched version. Would love to hear some similar changes to skyrim's ost! I think the gathering storm would be great for some modification
Thank you so much for making these videos all the time. Really appreciate the work you put into making all of these unique ambiences. They help me study/sleep every day
secunda was already such a nice piece, but slowing it down like this sounds very sweet but also melancholy. like i’m imagining it could play while Geralt and Yennefer recall dusty old rose-tinted memories together.
I really appreciate Jeremy Soule making the original piece. 😊 I'm just the messenger. But no problem, I hope you are able to rest well and have peace. Thanks for commenting 👍
Unpopular opinion - I never did like Skyrim. Massive fan of both Morrowind & Oblivion (Cyrodiil), but the music was still fantastic; this song in particular. Brilliant job with the tweaks & ambient addition. It really does enhance an already great piece of music. The accompanying video really is the chefs kiss. A wonderful piece of music/soundscape.
Its not that unpopular. Ive never played any of the elder scrolls until last year, so I have no rose colored glasses. I thought morrowind was very good, way ahead of its time for certain. Oblivion was insanely fun (and unintentionally hilarious) awesome custom spell-making. When I started to play skyrim it bored me to tears with its braindead quests and dialogue compared to the previous entries, and the magic in skyrim is... underwhelming at best. All three games have some great storytelling in the form of those little in-game books.
Not that unpopular. Skyrim was my first elderrscrolls game. And i loved it at the time and thought it was the best. I then played the others and my mind changed so quickly, skyrime felt...shallow and boring compared to the others...music is amazing amazing however as it is in the other games specifically morrowind and oblivion
@@lemonke8132 Aye, its a good call. I did spend a LOT of time modding it back in the day, to a point where it was very good - at least combat/graphically wise. I was talking specifically about 'vanilla', and honestly, even when modded, the atmosphere just didn't grab me like the previous games did. Maybe I'll go back and play through the specific mod(pack) you suggested. Thanks.
Flaming hot take coming your way. I hate the music of Skyrim. Jeremy Soule's music was fine in Morrowind. It got progressively boring with each installment. And somehow, slowing it down made it better. It creates a foreboding and spooky atmosphere that helps you feel exposed and isolated in the wilderness. It adds a feeling of mystery to a world that holds no more mysteries for me. I honestly wish Jeremy had composed this instead, it is an abject improvement.
