She is stunning and really talented as an actress. She would have been awesome cast as a Bond girl (good or bad girl). She owned the Seven of Nine role.
I love how he says Star Trek fans are unemployed.. I would love to be one of nine random trek fans to slap him with my paycheck as he is probably unemployed today shortly after that was filmed
And this my friends is one of many reasons Craig Kilbourn hasn't been seen on TV or in movies for years. His questions were snarky and condescending, he either knew almost nothing about his guest or the show she was representing, or he knew and was attempting to portray himself as too cool to watch the show and know about it. He made almost no effort to hide the fact he's a natural bully and an asshole. And the last thing where they go sit by the window or whatever...clearly Kilbourn thought of himself as some kind of 'ladies man', but the audience saw right through his bullshit and had no interest of making catcalling noises to support his self delusion. Jeri Ryan was a perfect guest as always, friendly and funny, and astonishingly beautiful. She towed the line as a professional and participated in whatever Kilbourn was going for, but this disaster had nothing to do with her. Neraly every other interview she has done has gone off without a hitch. Every once in a while things turn out as the should. I hope Kilbourn is somewhere selling used cars and comes home from work to plop down on his futon and turns the TV on to see the bunch of smart, funny, kind, sweet, interesting, respectful, and most of all DESERVING Late Night hosts do his old job better than he ever could.
@Logic Makes Sense - USUALLY I DON'T ALLOW ANYTHING NEGATIVE ON MY CHANNELS, BUT IN THIS CASE, IT WAS SO WELL WRITTEN, AND WAS POSITIVE TOWARD JERI, I GUESS I'LL LET IT STAND, BUT I THINK THE "CHARACTER" CRAIG CREATED FOR HIS SHOW WAS JUST A LAME ATTEMPT AT HUMOR, AND REVOLVED AROUND THE SUBCONSCIOUS TRUTH THAT THIS KIND OF PERSON HE CREATED, SOMETIMES GETS THE GIRL, AND SINCE HE IS NOT BLACK, AS IN THE ONLY COLOR THAT GIRLS ARE INTERESTED IN THESE DAYS, IT WAS HIS ONLY SHOT AT CONQUERING THE BABE IN THE HOT SEAT, IF ONLY FOR THE MOMENT OF THE INTERVIEW.......SINCE, LIKE GRAVITY, AND THE OTHER LAWS OF PHYSICS, THE FACT THAT GIRLS ONLY WANT WHAT THEY CAN'T HAVE, AND THIS KIND OF PERSON HE CREATED FOR HIS SHOW, COMES OFF AS A SUAVE CAD THAT REALLY DOESN'T NEED THEM, CAUSE HE SUPPOSEDLY COULD HAVE ANY GIRL HE WANTS, (OR IS POSSIBLY GAY, AND IN THAT WAY DOESN'T NEED THEM AS WELL) OR AT LEAST THIS IS WHAT HE WANTS THE AUDIENCE TO THINK.........THAT'S LOGICAL AND MAKES SENSE, WOULDN'T YOU SAY ? P.S. I LOOKED UP "CAD" TO SEE IF I USED IT RIGHT, AND THIS IS WHAT IT SAID......TOO FUNNY....... CAD, an ill-bred man, especially one who behaves in a dishonorable or irresponsible way toward women.
I've never understood the deep abiding fear too many people had/have of being caught dead actually -- *gasp* -- Liking Star Trek. I reeks of Junior High psychology. But that's life, you know? Lots a failed attempts at complete people running around.
@00:54 He sincerely was wondering what that show was. @2:09. He genuinely was curious on the nature of her name. @4:03 Focused concerned for her health being in a hazardous suit. @4:23 Humbly admits his ignorance and asks her to give mercy on his innocent question. @4:45 Takes a shot at HIMSELF reguarding his own eye brows. @5:52 Has no problem being called a loser. It's a COMEDY show people. @5:01 Admits freely that he actually WATCHED THE REAL TREK OF THE 70 SOMETHING EPISODES. And admits he should be following the newer stuff more. Those are the FACTS. That guys not a jerk, some of you might be projecting too much prejudice of his style from a traumatic experience of a jerk you once had. And Jeri is getting a long with him just great and is even eager to do that last bit with him, she's having a good time.
People being outraged of a clip from *1999* lol - things to consider: -The internet was just on the rise; not everyone had a computer & most people used the internet at a library or at school - information wasn't readily available; all pop culture knowledge was still learned via TV or word of mouth. -Star Trek was still very much a geek thing -Being a geek wasn't "cool" yet This clip is 21 years old, you gotta consider that.
@@mattybrunolucaszeneresalas9072 What? ...what? I know what you're referring to. You need to stop thinking about social politics so much. The internet blows this stuff up out of proportion. Quit social media (minus the occasional RU-vid comment) and get more into your non political hobbies.
@@PlayNiceFolks I AM! I didn’t say it to stir the pot I said it in JEST. As a joke. Like “remember those days?” Honestly I wan WITH you. I agree with everything you just said, and I DO do that. Because those negative thoughts have and still plague me even though I fight them
@2:35 "Do they still have Trek conventions" LOL little did he kno the future to come. @00:23 "tell me about the internet, do you follow that stuff?" LOL little did he kno the future to come, hey there's a pattern here. But cool vid, thnx for uploading

5:30 Look at his face, he's totally doing the Simon LeBon "square mouth" lipsync move. I remember wondering, when I was a kid, if I was the only one who ever noticed that.
3:15 scientist at JPL and NASA laughing at this loser. William Shatner has told that many of the JPL/NASA scientists are great trekkies. Once William Shatner was invited to visit NASA and he was shown command module of some shuttle(i don't remember the name), while he was watching through the shuttle window, they projected Enterprise-B on to for a split second as a tribute to Captain Kirk.
I don't get it ... I never heard of the series *Dark Skies* tell after a year or so when it was canceled. After watching it I loved how they linked historical events in the series. Out of all the tv series that need a reboot ... this should be on top of the list.
I remember he was on ESPN and tried being a comedian but was horrible. He was almost un watchable here. Just a rude condescending like he never saw a movie or tv show of his guests, thank god they got Ferguson but he’s gone now!
He's before you time. I don't remember him being as bad as he is in this particular interview. I mean in this interview he's just as bad as the current crop of late night talk show hosts. Maybe he was ahead of his time.
