@@arenomusic it’s not. Jelly (American) is fruit juice-based and gets its texture from fruit pectin, similar to but not the same as jam. Sometimes people also call jam or other fruit preserves “jelly.” Rarely, it has gelatin in it but usually it does not. Jell-O or Jelly (British/other countries) is made of gelatin (animal protein) and can be fruit-flavored, but is not fruit preserves.
@@sidasterdisaster yeah man was just getting confused by American Vs English jelly, where American jelly is the same as English jam. Like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which would be ridiculous in the UK.
My favorite thing about the jell-o/jelly rant was the day-night cycle in the game passing by as time went on. Makes it feel like he was arguing with chat for hours
"He's not tall enough to go to the hospital" made me imagine a hospital with a cardboard cutout of a nurse holding her hand up saying "you must be THIS tall for treatment"
I love to imagine Jerma actually working behind a counter during rush hour on the Jelly/Jello rant. Like he is just serving people while going on a mad rambling and eventually he just stops taking orders as the rant ramps up, taking his cellphone out to google the difference while a huge line of people are waiting on the counter, the smell of burnt steak and the sound of costumers yelling complaints flooding the entire place.
Sad to see the last of these, but Jerma was sorta right about height/size not mattering as much when you age, I worked a job where as the smallest person I was literally aleays getting into tight spots cause all my co workers where too old and fat to fit

The jello/jelly thing had me in stitches. I'm in the UK and jam is never called jelly but from US TV shows and stuff I've head of 'Peanut Butter and Jelly' sandwiches which I guess makes sense if you say 'jelly' to mean 'jam'. But I would've 100% been with chat on this as a result haha

In ireland and i think britain too we call what americans call jell-o jelly. We dont have the jell-o brand so its just all jelly. And we call fruit preserves jam and nothing else
The jelly and Jell-o bit killed me. 😭 I'm from Ireland and we never refer to jam as "jelly", we just call it jam (or chutney). Jelly is just that gelatine dessert where you'd put hot water onto and refrigerate for a few hours. You'd usually serve it with ice cream. I can definitely understand the confusion on this one. I can agree with it being disgusting since it's essentially animal bones and skin (gelatine).
it always makes me happy to see how engaged jerma's community is in every compilation's comment section - almost every comment has at least like 50 likes. i love it. you will suffer extreme misfortune if this is truly the finale.
