Yeah, same here. I tried looking up a longplay, and the closest thing I found to one is some guy playing the first level for thirty minutes before giving up.
driving me insane how all the soldiers keep yelling "TELL US TO PRESS FORWARD PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WE'RE READY TO KICK THE SHIT OUT OF HIM" and Jeremy is sitting there raging at his soldiers for them not doing what hes not telling them to do. did he never learn the difference between "press forward" and "advance" the whole stream. e: oh my fucking god if jerma played a grand strat game i would lose my god damned mind. please someone whos actually able to make it to the streams just yell at him to do it.

Wow what a realluly odd game. Can't understand why you'd have a strategy game with a pinball game crowbard in there. Props to the devs for makong what they wanted to ,but there is good reaaon why we have play testers
these are the most batshit combined game mechanics i've seen in a long time. voice commanded soldiers and pinball...its like they were trying to instill anxiety and a lack of confidence in children
Something I remember about this game is it was made by the same company that made Seaman on the Dreamcast, that weird but charming pet simulator with the humanoid fish man and Leonard Nimoy as the narrator. Shame they haven't made much after Odama (plus their Seaman sequel on the PS2 was a Japan exclusive).
While this game does have a pretty steep difficulty curve and does require a bit of micromanaging and situational awareness, Jerma makes it look a LOT more difficult than it should be. He tells his troops to press forward (meant to be used to charge against troops) when he should be telling them to advance (exactly what it means; move forward without opposition from the enemy army), he takes no time to bother trying to learn the ins-and-outs of the game and brute forces his way through it (never a good idea in a game that requires some form of strategy) and he seems to blame his mistakes on the game rather than admitting he fucked up and trying to learn how it works, leading to further unnecessary frustration and his eventual rage quit. There's getting mad at a game because its difficulty curve is crushing you, and then there's just being flat-out clueless about how to properly play the game to begin with.
@@brandoncash3775 To be fair, the game's tutorial was kinda terrible, and didn't do s lot to distinguish the two commands. You'd have to trial and error/deduct the differences between the two, which doesn't make for a fun time or a good stream lol. Other games on the GameCube did a good job at explaining in tutorials, so there really is no excuse other than Jerma being too impatient to learn a game that requires great patience
