From Jerma's first The Coin Game stream (7/11/2019): • Jerma Streams - The Co... Jerma's Twitch: / jerma985 2ndJerma: / @2ndjerma NOTE: This edit was requested by Mr. Spicy Ice.
Jerma really is the god of accidental comedic timing. Him winning the chicken game on the first try after running away from the ski ball machine is crazy
i legitimately fell for the "he's been playing the chicken thing for hours" joke for at least like 30 seconds until his bit voice shined through honestly one of my favorite of the bits he does, messing with live watchers or people in the vod who skip around
One I fell for was the drunk on red wine bit during one of the Nancy Drew streams. Granted I was still relatively new to the community, but it still got me.
From the Dizzy Bird bit to him breaking down after realizing he spent thousands on scratch tickets and hours of his time to buy a boombox he thought was worth a lot of money but only sold for $180, this game brought some of his best streams.
at 38:50 the way he's talking about what a psycho he would be to just hog the dizzy bird machine like this, and then looking down at the floor to see HUNDREDS OF TICKETS just fucking lying there is so fucking funny
Bro that bumper car thing is so funny. There’s always this one psychopath teenager going for accelerationmaxxing, smashing into like families driving around with toddlers slowly in a circle in the most anatomically and physiologically damaging angle and contact point, as if it’s some renaissance war engineer calculating the perfect shooting angle for the trebuchet. Always. Why am I not surprised Jerma was one of them. 😅
Can't wait to come back in 10 years (idk when the stream was) to see the post editing of subways being closed and being replaced with bank of America's
@@BananaPhoPhilly it's 2024, who reads descriptions fr? IDC dude and it doesn't even matter because it hasn't been 10 years since 2019 so it works out. 2029 is when all the Subways will close
I'll take a shot at answering these questions. *'Why can the kid die?'* - Because this game is something in line with The Truman Show. Aside from what little lore there is to draw from, this kid is alone on a kind of isolated island... robots for a population. As far as we can tell, Nanny Bot and the population aren't exactly supportive beyond cheering at your wins. This kid is solely responsible for his/her own diet. One that consists of candy, soda pop, microwave dinners, Cheesy Puffs and even a little bit of milk & Jerky. (S)He probably is eating so badly that this kid barely has any fat stores. Just the fact that he can die while mowing the lawn should be a gold mine to a psychologist. I want to say that it is for a challenging game experience. But... let's face it. There is grounds here to rationalize that the kid is borderline starving to death from day one. *'Why is this island so big?'* - Remember, this game is in beta. _(Regardless of how many years it has been out for.)_ This game is basically like a G rated GTA style game. There's a ton of room for things to grow into. Right now, we've got lots of ground to cover for various jobs. But, like with the addition of a mall, there can be a near infinite number of upgrades available. Supposedly, the motel would become the hub for a 'future planned' multi-player experience. And I think that there is where the problems begin at. This game has tons of ideas going on. And, for the most part, it really works out really well. Most of the arcade games have ported well to this world. Many of the bugs are almost hilarious, like when you try to break away from an arcade and... things happen. Or when you are on a public street and... you're road kill, even when driving a golf cart. (Those robot drivers are definitely pre-1.0 AI things.) Or when you can hop the city bus and the bully bots blur right through the bus to attack you. (The absolute cheaters.) It's like the overall project has become too overwhelming for the programmer. (I heard it is just one guy, who did this as a love letter for both the arcade scene and his kids to have something safe and G rated to play.) What is here is downright fantastic. I mean, there's shovel ware for consoles that have tried and miserably failed at physics based gaming. But in this Coin Game, for every one meh, there's a ton more wins. (Come on. Upgrade that Ball Drop game to let multiple balls in play at once. The Bonus Balls mode prove it works.) Maybe the time has come to take this hidden gem and let a larger team go to work on making additions. Time to take this game to Alpha status. After all, I don't think he even has purchasable outfits and character builder features in place, after all this time. The mall was a grand walking simulation of a time gone by. Alas, it barely brought anything valuable to the table. I think one new arcade game. And a lot of repeats. And I think that was the main upgrade for a year's worth of work.
this is one of my favourite streams ok two hours in I just realised that this stream had my favourite highlights but actually watching this for hours on end is painful
This is a LEGENDARY Skye4 video. The Dizzy Bird addiction, the quest for 100,000 tickets, the scratch ticket gambling, and the Spongebob TTS bit made my sides fly away from laughing too hard.
Damn the creator of the game REALLY went out on the Birthday Mode in terms of worldbuilding lmaoo. You can tell having an entire arcade to himself when he was younger was his biggest fantasy that Jerma clone number 985 gets to live out.
The fact that the game is zoomed in while jerma is desperately scratching tickets and selling everything he owns to buy more makes it seem like psa on gambling addiction
Once when I was a kid I got the jackpot on big bass wheel twice in a row. My mom saw the whole thing and I’m surprised she didn’t have me scratch off lottery tickets afterwards
i don't know if you're still taking requests but quite a few years ago jerma streamed Crysis with the gag that he spoke in text-to-speech for most of the entire stream and I think that would be a really funny stream to dig back up
I was playing the coin game like a year or two before he streamed it and I was so :0 excited to see it on his channel. It feels like it was made for him lol
the fact that my local gas station has a quarter machine you can sit here and do this all day and jerma doesn't even know that they exist is hilarious lol
