A lot of people that use chat frequently are legitimately poorly socialized to begin with. I've seen so many times when people say "Go to bed, Jerma", and I think people like that have genuine, unhealthy, parasocial issues. Most people ARE normal, it's just the crazy ones are loud and use chat more.

You're right - it's easy to take Jerma for granted. But considering that he's just a nice person who avoids fanning flames and is (mostly) genuine, I think it says more about the crop of streamers out there than Jerma's saintliness. The bar is very low.

Chat fucking sucks and the community in other platforms is not much better. Since he got popular to the point of "mainstream" appeal, the discord has turned absolute shit, so much so that he actually had to step in and try to whip it a bit. The idea that the one-guy moments are somehow making the stream is very misleading, because 90% of the time they work because they go through Jerma's humor and his reaction, not just by themselves. I truly don't know how he can put up with it. Great stream tho, iron lung was hilarious.

It seems Chat is relatively easy for him to ignore if he feels the need. I guess after streaming for a long time, you learn to pretend Chat doesn’t exist when they’re being stupid.

I wish he'd given Glover more time, it's a challenging platformer with some unique mechanics. That and the design of the world and enemies/characters is really weird, in a good way. Dunno why chat seemingly has so much power to veto certain games over others.

Do you actually believe people are being tricked into thinking Jerma is an actual psychopath? Or is it just "people find thing funny so I must complain about it"? If it's about how repetitive it is, the age of the joke doesn't matter when there's still new stuff to joke about, like the meat grinder analogy that wasn't even that long ago. @@erato4362 there's nothing wrong with RNG when no money is involved. It's a core mechanic of the entire roguelike genre. Are you going to warn people against playing binding of isaac? Lol. The real problem is lootboxes that are not core mechanics of a game and require real money to buy (which then become akin to actual gambling). This game doesn't actually rely on the same psychological principles as gambling does, if you want to start getting into that.

ATTENTION: This is the best advice ever for new people to Jerma streams who complain about the game. DON'T COMPLAIN IN THE CHAT, if you don't like the game DON'T WATCH. Then, the stream won't be ruined by annoying passive-aggressive chatters AND HERE'S THE GREAT THING: You can watch the highlights or clips from the stream and GET THE BEST OF JERMA without having to watch the game you didn't like. Then when he plays a game YOU DO LIKE, you can enjoy it in peace without the annoying chatters. It's the best of both worlds and has been the chat philosophy which created all the greatest moments for Jerma.

This was the same stream he played glover, and some members of chat were yelling at him to go back to playing it or switch to wobbledogs. Others considered the game boring or low quality for reasons I'm not sure of.

I got this game because of Jerma Vinny and Joel and while the pentagram is not exactly good (for the same reason the garlic is good- it's more important to have things that give you lots of gems earlygame and keep you alive lategame than the other way around) I thought it was funny finding out that the pentagram actually drastically _increases_ the exp gems you get once you fully upgrade it. Also pissed me off when I evolved my bayonetta guns and they got worse rather than better and started making a "time bomb is about to explode" sound continuously for the rest of the run.

People get weird once they've watched a streamer for around a decade and think they are "friends". Like people don't understand Jeremy still needs to constantly present himself and make a welcoming environment for newcomers. So he tells stories about himself that people have probably already heard after watching him for 10 years. Some don't understand its a "TV show" and not "hanging out with a friend" so they start to act like that weird friend you had in middleschool. These people tend to also spend the most on gift subs to get noticed and thus Jerma has to read their stuff out more often. All really successful streamers have "whales" like mobile games. There is a minority of people paying 1000X if not much much more than the average viewer. Parasocial relationships are wack haha

It is way bigger and better than it seems and a lot of the fun for me is discovering how big the game is. worth way more than only 3 bucks

The skeleton character is by FAR the best one in the game because of his bonusses to amount. Getting the extra XP is pointless as it means you wont be able to evolve one of your weapons

They basically yelled out for him to stop playing Glover, he probably only spent like 20-30 minutes on that game before moving onto the next one even though he really seemed like he wanted to continue. That and it’s just very bloated with people spamming emotes and monkaS and whatever, just flat out being annoying

6 hour long long play no commentary video except the mic is stupidly crusty and constantly on, there's just very little for background sound save for the guy eating thanksgiving dinner, so you hear metal plate clacking and occasional burps and accidental loud chewing noises, like lip smacking. At some point a webcam accidentally turns on and it's pointing just at the ceiling and it looks like someone put ketchup up there and cleaned up it one week too late so the ceiling is stained a tiny bit in red.

Idk why chat is like that. I personally love to watch a streamer who’s GENUINELY excited to play a specific game. Like they’re not playing it because it’s meta, but because they genuinely like it and are excited about it.
