Usa lotteries give 2 percent commission for sales and 1 percent for winning tickets up to x. Its in every retailers interest to push the product. Very little effort to a class of folks addicted. Once the industry sees a problem, like casinos they shutdown that product.
I read about their story. It was for just one specific game in the Massachusetts Lottery and the Michigan Lottery. It actually revolutionized the lottery industry where they changed games so that they no longer had progressive odds. The game worked similar to Keno but with groups of players.
The fact is he couldn’t have done it without saul, he was good at it, he kept him out of the jail. He laundered his money, he lied for him, he conspired with him and he made MILLIONS.
I hear you Some movies are just garbage story lines and and hour of fake looking graphics... stuff that looks insanely unrealistic, and irrelevant to the "story"
Bryan Cranston is one of those actors that I find difficult to associate into other characters. His Walter White in BB was so iconic and phenomenal that I can't watch him without scenes from BB replaying back in my mind.
@@juliannelennard4554 Right! That's what I'm saying. Heck I watched him for yearsss on Malcom in the middle when I was young. Then to see him flip to BB was just insane to me. 🤣🤣🤣 But he did amazing in both shows. The movie he had with Kevin Hart was good too. He is a great and under rated actor really imo.
So this is actually a true story, the names are Jerry and Marge Selbee and the college kids were from MIT. They played two lotteries one in Michigan and one in Massachusetts.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
I remember hearing about this story. Apparently the lottery ticket location isn’t actually random. And there’s some algorithm to it. And some dude cracked the code and bought every ticket in one location. I think when the lottery discovered this they changed things up.
I thought this is going to be like movie 21 with the ' against the system ' kinda thing...illegal i mean...but no...just a heartwarming story of a retiree...great movie
Walter had in fact faked his own death, as had Saul's brother Howard. He tried to put his breaking bad cover story about gambling into action but card counting in casinos proved too risky. He went for something a bit more vanilla and won in Life.
There is a rule in this lottery that when the pot hits 5million and there’s no winner, part of it gets distributed to tickets with 3-5 matching numbers. Meaning the more tickets he buys during the roll down, as long as no one hits the jackpot, they win more than they bet. This is a true story, you can search it up, it really happened.
Agreed. Two of my favorite male actors in Hollywood are Bryan Cranston and Gary Cole. Both are amazing method actors. Ex: When Tom Cruise is on the screen playing a role you see Tom Cruise playing a role. When Cranston and Cole are on the screen they're are so enveloped in their roles you don't see the actors anymore; you see and feel their characters. It is what separates great actors from hollywood "stars". We have plenty of the latter; we could use more of the former. Gene Hackman was another example.
