Jerry has been an organist since he came out with his first organ album Street Fair in 1971 under the name of The Magic Organ. Jerry's other success was Truck Stop, (here's a link to Truck Stop • Video ) Jerry Smith got a little credit on the Dixiebelles tunes, "(Down at) Papa Joe's" (here's a link to Down At Papa Joe's, • Down at Papa Joes - Th... ) and "Southtown, U.S.A.".(here's a link to Southtown USA, • The Dixiebelles - Sout... ) The records credit the Dixiebelles with Cornbread and Jerry. We now know who the Jerry is that they are referring to. He deserved more credit, though.
