I couldn't agree more! This is such a charming film and the last 20 minutes or so is the best ending I have ever seen....I get emotional with happiness every time I watch the ending. (First of all, how she meets Andy Lau in the kiosk and then meets Taiyu at the concert after 20 years of no contact with each other...whoever wrote this script was brilliant) If you liked this film as much as I did (and I guess you did!) may I recommend another Taiwanese school love story called "Secret" It is outstanding as well.......if you have not seen it, please see it.....and let me know how you like it!!!
I love this movie as well but I hate the ending. It seems so sad that Ko Teng and Shen Chia Yi never developed their relationship because they really loved each other......
when the actor (young ver) said "i still like you a lot" and when the actor (old ver) said "it's been a long time" is the most saddest scene of this movie
This is the most powerful story that i will never forget for the rest of my life.Because it shows the true meaning of love.Distance is not about separating it's about waiting for someone you love
the way jerry yan hit the "it's been a long time" line was literally so perfect that everytime i watched that scene it always gets me right in the feels and i just instantly start sobbing LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH HONESTLY ONE OF THE BEST FILMS I'VE SEEN
No kiss needed. The awkwardness, the familiarity, and the excitement of seeing each other was perfectly conveyed, especially by the last verse of 好久不見.. so many words conveyed into 4.
i feel that this ending was really realistic, unlike some movies (no offence) when two people who like each other and haven't met in years, they would kiss and that's somehow not as realistic, whereas in this ending it was awkward and realistic and that's why this is one of my favourite movie!!
I was so attached to the younger version that I feared I won't be liking the moment they got back to the present. Boy, I was so wrong, the moment they showed Jerry Yan, my tears are already pouring down my face. It just happened, Jerry Yan's impact is that powerful. Of course Joe Chen is amazing, her acting is great. This movie is sooooo wonderful ❤
this might be a bit cheesy, but I don't care...this is a fantastic ending to one of the best Asian movies I've ever seen...I don't cry usually for romantic movies, but I legit tear up a little at this one...the whole Andy Lau thing gets me every time
December 2019? Who is here? This scene is still so *iconic* still in 2019 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭having tears coming down again😭😭😭😭😭😭 to have them meet in adult again is the best thing for both those who love each other so much❤ l am going to go to a corner and cry again😭😭😭😭😭😭😢
AT FIRST I WAS LIKE WTF I REALLY WANTED TO SEE HSU TAIYU LIKE STILL THE SAME ACTOR BUT AFTER SEEING FVCKING JERRY YAN I WAS LIKE SCREAMING THE WHOLE TIME THIS MOVIE IS JUST SO AMAZING I CAN'T EVEN PUT IT INTO WORDS ***I really didn't expect to see Jerry Yan here huhuhuhu To those who say that they were disappointed they didn't use the same actors as adult version, then ya'll too young not to know these legends
In this scene, I was really mad crying, I wasn't expecting it to be Joe and Jerry in the present, it's so nostalgic for me, I grew up being their fan. It gave me goosebumps
Honestly this movie was like a love letter to my past-self ,chasing both Taiwanese rom-com drama and Hong Kong crime/court shows with my mom and sister. Those simpler times were so nostalgic and beautiful. And this movie completely embody those memories.
I swear, the first time I saw this movie I cry a lot. Because something similar happen in my life with the exception that I never saw that person again. Now, after ten years I don't expect that moment, but a really love it the movie.
Once Jerry Yan appeared in the movie my heart starts to beat faster, tears in my eyes build up, ans started screaming these two actors made me feel nostalgic OH MY GAHDD THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE ROMCOM
JEERRRY YAN!!! YOU JUST MADE THE ENDING PERFECTLY REAL!! MOVIE TEAM REALLY KNOWS WHAT MAJORITY OF AUDIENCE WANT!!! JERRY AND JOE ARE BOTH PROVEN FINE ACTORS OF ALL SEASON! GG
All I can think of while watching the "young" male lead was wow he reminds me of the guy in the show meteor garden. Boy, i was surprised and contented when Jerry Yan showed up in the ending! It was a very nice story. The film was filled with nostalgia. Youth has its ways.
Aww.. This scene really got me teary eyed.. The emotions when he said 'its been a long time' really make me cry. And her crying looks genuine and sincere. The feel.. I can't describe. Such a beautiful and warm story..
never see the whole movie yet but why this part make me cry so much.. The emotion of the actor/actress her is so much pure.. That " its been a long time" line got me! Gooosh!
I was prepared to cry as soon as she turned around and just stared blankly for a moment. Then when she almost broke down into tears, that was so wonderful. I usually dont like when people cry but she makes it look so genuine its hard to not feel sorry for her
I loved this ending, i mean he planned all of this for her ♡ and also the word play "真心爱你" (zhen xin ai ni) could mean "Trully love you" or "Zhen Xin (the girl name) love you"
I really fall in love with this romantic movie. It has so much emotion when the characters express their loves to each other. Plus, i respect that they don't have any kiss scene. And the way the director and their crews think is very creative. In a nut shell, I would like to say that I'm in love with this story line.
It's one of my favorite Taiwanese movie. The story is really great. Esp the last part. I love the last part here because Jerry Yan was here! 💜 No kissing scene indeed but the scene was really intense and full of emotions. He was able to portray the scene well even for a short moment! 💜
It was a nice and good Taiwan movie...although Jerry Yan had a cameo role but still the impact was there...our times is one of the best movie I watch☺️
I didn't cry while watching the movie. I had sooo many awww moments though. Watching the movie made me sad and happy at the same time. It brought me back to my high school years. The slam book.. Chain letters.. pictures and key chains of your idol.. Hairstyle.. Outfit.. Cassette tapes.. Walkman.. boombox.. Those were the days. Highschool days. The love story of the lead actors is like icing on the cake. I felt the overwhelming emotion of the actors when they saw each other after a long time. It was very sweet. This movie was beautifully made. 😍😍
I really surprised when I saw Jerry at the ending scene but hope it more scene... it's really touching, very nice movie plus my idol JERRY. I missed you....
I would be embarrassed to tell you my age but I'm a guy and I cry tears of joy every time I see this part....and also the part where she is sitting on the bench outside and listening to the tape he gave her. I only wish in this scene, they would have embraced each other for a long time after he says "I will have Andy sing for you," embracing all the way to the start of the credits.
Emily, I also cry at the part when he takes her to the outside rollerrink with the lights and skates with her...so romantic. Also very emotional when she listens to his cassette tape by the outdoor roller rink at night. Can't help but eyes welling up there as well. A side note to the cassette message:Remember when she is reading the love letter he had written to Minmin after he rescues her from the pool? She tells him he doesn't know how to write love letters and uses nothing "original." Then, when they are in the book store, she bends down and see a book on love letters and gives it to him? Well, he signs off the cassette tape by saying "Aqui, te amo" which oviously means I love you in Spanish but the point is,he uses originality in his tape...no borrowed lines.
This was the scene that i wanted to scream but I cant because my children were sleeping and I just cover my mouth with my hands. Im so happy to see him.
