This was a great list, but as a point of fact, Batsto is not in Hammonton at all. Hammonton is simply given as its address. Hammonton is in Atlantic County, separated from Batsto by Mullica Township. Batsto is in Washington Township, Burlington County.
BUT the ones listed in Camden, Newark, Patterson, and Atlantic City are all surrounded by areas you don't want to be in. As Clark Griswald said "Roll am up".
Throw in the Greenwich Tea Burning Monument in the little historic town of Greenwich, in Cumberland County, on the Cohansey River, a tributary of the Delaware River.
Alaire Village, Newbridge Landing, The Appalachian Trail, Historic Morristown, WW2 cement ship at Cape May, original AM/FM Tower on the Palisade Parkway, The Palisade Cliffs, Silent Film Museum Fort Lee where Hollywood originated, 9/11 memorial in Weehawkin, Pine Barrens, Hessian Barracks in Trenton...to name a few.
Great video on New Jersey. I used to live about 12 miles from Batsto village in Elwood,Millica Township,Atlantic County from Saturday,December 14, 1963 to Sarurday,June 21,1969. It's a terrible rotton shame that New Jersey & California are always being criticised, insulted and I also lived in California. Most of those that criticise and insult both New Jersey & California have never been in both states and sadly never will visit them either.
Leonard J Buck Garden is a beautiful landscape rock garden that isn't too crowded. I went on a sunny winter day, and it was mostly empty & very pleasant. Ocean Grove has a beautiful collection of old Victorian and Queen Anne-style homes within a few blocks of the ocean, just south of Asbury Park. It's a much larger collection of such homes compared with Cape May. And a great time to visit any of the oceanside boardwalks is during the wintertime or slightly off season. Go on a nice sunny day without too much wind and enjoy a nice walk near the water & ocean air without needing to pay for parking as you would during the popular summer months (or parking several blocks away to avoid paying for parking).
This video was just marvelous and that's coming from a born and bread Jersey Girl. Although I have been to most of the sites featured here in this video there are several I was not even aware of. Well, now what i'm doing this coming weekend? Perhaps a trip to the glowing caves or a stroll through Clinton. Just lovely. - Thank You all for making this informative and beautifully done work
It's a real shame what's become to NJ it's a total dump over population over taxed can't afford to live here anymore all of NYC has moved here traffic jams everywhere
you missed the Stueben House in I Believe it is in Hackensack or New Milford in Bergen County (which is also dubbed the birthplace of nj). George Washington was to have spent a few nights there when passing through it is a great museum and you can take tours.
This ain't cuttin' it. I'd either edit half of these out or take it down. 6 comments after more than 3 years? All bad? Take it down. It's an embarrassment. Definitely turns more people off than on - born in Paterson.
It was so much different 60-70 years ago. I was born and raised in Bergen County. It just hurts so much to see all the changes there have been. Most aren't for the better.
@@joeyjamison5772 Regrettably it's getting like that in so many places that used to be nice ... all built up , overdeveloped , overcrowded , heavy traffic and prices going up and up .
