This was mind blowing. Kedar dissects the history of Islam and their own intra-political conflicts that lead Muslims prohibited to do the Hajj to Mecca decide to bring it to Jerusalem that they had conquered and had power to do so. Etc. Eventually it didn’t stick, but the idea that Jerusalem is significant in Islam does not constitute a historic or legitimate reason to consider it a candidate to be the the capital of Arab/Palestine of today.

“The Al Aqsa is mentioned several times in the Quran. For instance, verse 17:1 in the chapter Al Isra reads:“Glory be to Him who carried His servant by night from Al Masjid Al Haram to Al Masjid Al Aqsa; the environs of which We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs. Indeed He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” The term “Holy Land” is mentioned several times in the Quran and refers to Jerusalem (al quds) and its surroundings. The only point I raise here is if the prophet Muhammad was transported to al-Masjid al-Aqsa during Isra. how come the masjid was built only later between 658 CE and 715 CE, that is several decades after his death? M. Kedar gives an explanation (Saudi Arabia) of which I am not convinced, but I will be doing further research.

This Mordechai is very respectless and condecending, horrific to listen to. How he describes the prophet of a world religion as a ridiculous streetpreacher. Which professor who expects civilized people to take him serious will speak of a world religion in this manner? I'm just wondering.. A socalled man of mature age and some, I suppose, education. The sad thing is about this is that he attempt to be despicably funny and is incorrect on many point and is very insulting, not suiting an academic.
